    Abstract: Handling of UE capability information in a mobile telecommunications network wherein an eNodeB receives information regarding the UE capability information from the UE and stores the information. The eNodeB sends the UE capability information to the EPC, i.e., to an MME, which receives and stores the UE capability information. When the UE transits from idle to active state, does an initial attach, or when a part of the UE capabilities have changed, it sends a message to the eNodeB regarding the update. The eNodeB forwards the message to the UE, which sends a response associated with the previously stored UE capability information to the eNodeB. The eNodeB decides whether the UE capabilities stored in the NUB is up-to-date based on the message from the UE and the response from the MME. If the UE holds updated OF capabilities the eNodeB can request updated UE capability information from the UE.

    Abstract: A wireless device establishes multi-connectivity to a wireless communication network. In particular, the wireless device transmits a request for a connection to a third network element over a second wireless link. The third network element is a candidate for establishing the multi-connectivity. The wireless device also enables the third network element to connect to a first network element already connected to the wireless device via a second network element communicating with the wireless device over a first wireless link. This enabling includes transmitting information identifying the first network element to the third network element. The wireless device also transmits an identifier of the wireless device to the third network element to establish the multi-connectivity for the wireless device. The first and second network elements serve the wireless device with different network functions at least after the establishing of the multi-connectivity.

    Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) configured to communicate with a radio access network (RAN) via a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG). Such methods include, while the SCG is deactivated, performing beam failure detection (BFD) for at least one cell in the SCG, according to a first BFD configuration. Such methods include, in response to detecting an initial beam failure in the deactivated SCG, transmitting a first message indicating the initial beam failure to a RAN node configured to provide the MCG; and in response to detecting one or more subsequent beam failures in the deactivated SCG, refraining from transmitting to the RAN any messages indicating the one or more subsequent beam failures (e.g., until receiving another BFD configuration). Other embodiments include complementary methods for a RAN node, as well as UEs and RAN nodes configured to perform such methods.

    Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) configured to communicate with a wireless network via a plurality of cell groups (e.g., MCG and SCG). Such methods include, upon deactivating one of the cell groups (e.g., SCG), suspending a medium access control (MAC) entity associated with the deactivated cell group and performing one or more first operations on the MAC entity upon the suspension of the MAC entity. Such methods also include, while the MAC entity is suspended, performing one or more second operations related to reporting of uplink (UL) data available for transmission via the deactivated cell group. Such methods also include, upon reactivating the deactivated cell group, performing one or more third operations on the MAC entity and resuming the MAC entity based on the one or more third operations.     Abstract: A method performed by a User Equipment, UE, for handling authorization in relation to a mobility procedure in a wireless communications network is provided. The UE obtains (901) at least one security token. The UE receives (903) a mobility command for the mobility procedure from a network node in the wireless communications network. The mobility command comprises a security token. The mobility command relates to a protocol layer below a Radio Resource Control, RRC, protocol. The UE then decides (904) whether or not the mobility command is authorized, based on comparing the security token in the mobility command with the at least one obtained security token.
