摘要: An imprint method of molding an imprint material on a shot region of a substrate using a mold, includes aligning the shot region and the mold in a state where the imprint material and a pattern region of the mold are in contact with each other; and curing the imprint material by irradiating the imprint material with curing light after the aligning. The aligning is controlled so as to include an overlap period during which a period during which deformation light used to deform the shot region is applied to the substrate through the imprint material and a period during which polymerization light used to increase a viscosity of the imprint material is applied to the imprint material overlap each other. The polymerization light to be applied to the imprint material is controlled in accordance with the deformation light to be applied to the imprint material during the overlap period.

摘要: In a case where it is determined that forming processing can be performed, a curable composition on a substrate is cured by a first curing unit in a state where a member is in contact with the curable composition, the member is separated, and the curable composition is further cured by a second curing unit. In a case where it is determined that the forming processing cannot be performed, the curable composition is cured by the second curing unit in a state where the curable composition is separated from the member without the curable composition being cured by the first curing unit. This can prevent carry-out of the substrate to which an uncured composition is applied and contamination inside and outside an apparatus even in a case where normal processing cannot be performed.

摘要: A method of altering a refractive property of a crosslinked acrylic polymer material by irradiating the material with a high energy pulsed laser beam to change its refractive index. The method is used to alter the refractive property, and hence the optical power, of an implantable intraocular lens after implantation in the patient's eye. In some examples, the wavelength of the laser beam is in the far red and near IR range and the light is absorbed by the crosslinked acrylic polymer via two-photon absorption at high laser pulse energy. The method also includes designing laser beam scan patterns that compensate for effects of multiphone absorption such as a shift in the depth of the laser pulse absorption location, and compensate for effects caused by high laser pulse energy such as thermal lensing. The method can be used to form a Fresnel lens in the optical zone.

摘要: An example of an additive manufacturing system is disclosed. The example disclosed herein comprises a build material distributor, a preheating source, and a controller. The build material distributor is to form build material layers from an intended build material having a color. The preheating source is to emit energy at a wavelength related to the intended build material color so that at least a 40% of the energy is absorbed by the build material. The controller is to receive printing instructions to print a 3D object, wherein the printing instructions define an area to be fused in a build material layer. The controller is also to instruct the build material distributor to form the build material layer. The controller is further to control the preheating source to emit energy to preheat a zone comprising the area to be fused.

摘要: A method of ink-extrusion printing an object, including providing a mixture including liquid crystal monomers and photo-catalyzing or heating the mixture to produce a liquid crystal ink. The ink is in a nematic phase. The method includes extruding the ink through a print-head orifice moving along a print direction to form an extruded film of the object. The extruded film exhibits birefringence. Also disclosed are a liquid crystal ink. The ink includes a mixture including liquid crystal monomers. The mixture when at a target printing temperature is in a nematic phase. Also disclosed is ink-extrusion-printed object. The object includes an extrusion-printed film including a nematic liquid crystal elastomer, wherein the film exhibits birefringence along an extrusion axis of the film.

摘要: A novel cutting-edge structure and method and apparatus for manufacturing the cutting-edge structure is provided. The cutting-edge structure is comprised of naturally derived or renewable material at greater than 50% by volume fraction. In one embodiment, the naturally derived material is a cellulose nanostructure such as a cellulose nanocrystal. The cellulose nanocrystal is processed using a base or mold structure to provide a cutting edge of any shape such as linear or circular edge structures. The process includes dual cure steps to produce an optimal cutting-edge structure without shrinkage. The formed cutting-edge structure can be utilized as a razor blade as it is formed with very sharp tip and edge suitable for cutting hair. The base structure can form one or more cutting-edge structures simultaneously.
