    摘要: A medical tubing of a random copolymer containing an olefin-based monomer, such as ethylene, in an amount of 50-95 mol % and, preferably 75-95 mol %, and a styrene-based monomer, such as styrene, in an amount of 50-5 mol %, preferably 25-5 mol %. The medical tubing can be used as a conjugating tube or a connecting tube of medical equipment such as infusion circuits and blood circuits, and for administering an oil-soluble drug such as nitroglycerin. The random copolymer does not contain chlorine atoms or a plasticizer. The tubing has very small adsorption of the drugs, can withstand squeezing action by an infusion pump, has a possibility of undergoing null-ray sterilization and has flexibility necessary for clinical use.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an olefin copolymer shrink film comprising an &agr;-olefin/aromatic vinyl compound random copolymer. This &agr;-olefin/aromatic vinyl compound random copolymer comprises 99.9 to 58 mol % of structural units derived from ethylene, 0 to 30 mol % of structural units derived from an &agr;-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms (provided that the total of the structural units derived from ethylene and the structural units derived from an &agr;-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms ranges from 99.9 to 88 mol %), and 0.1 to 12 mol % of structural units derived from an aromatic vinyl compound. The &agr;-olefin/aromatic vinyl compound random copolymer has an intrinsic viscosity [&eegr;], as measured in decalin at 135° C., of 0.1 to 10 dl/g and has a melting point, as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter, of 60 to 125° C. The olefin copolymer shrink film is oriented in at least one direction. The olefin copolymer shrink film has excellent low-temperature shrinkability and transparency.

    摘要: A fabricated article other than a film comprising a thermoplastic blend prepared from polymeric materials consisting of; (A) from 1 to 99 weight percent of at least one interpolymer made from monomer components comprising (1) from 0.5 to 65 mole percent of (a) at least one aromatic vinylidene monomer, or (b) at least one hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinylidene monomer, or (c) a combination of at least one aromatic vinylidene monomer and at least one hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinylidene monomer, and (2) from 99.5 to 35 mole percent of at least one aliphatic &agr;-olefin having from 2 to 20 carbon atoms; and (B) from 99 to 1 weight percent of at least one polymer made from monomer components comprising at least one &agr;-olefin having from 2 to 20 carbon atoms. These articles possess improved properties when compared to the properties of articles derived from the individual polymers comprising the blend. These articles are useful in the preparation of injection molded parts, bitumen and asphalt modification, hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesive systems.
