    摘要: A transmitting device, for transmitting position detector signals, comprises a controller for processing signals on various kinds of data from an object of interest; a position detector that has a magnetic pole detecting portion and which detects position data on the object of interest; an up-down counter that counts in an ascending or descending order on the basis of two-phase output signals that are produced from the position detector in accordance with the change in the position of the object of interest; a converting circuit portion in which both the counter value as produced from the up-down counter or the change in the counter value per unit time and a magnetic pole position detection signal as produced from the magnetic pole detecting portion are converted to a serial signal; and a transmission path for transmitting the serial signal to the controller. Furthermore, a method of transmitting position detector signals with the above-mentioned transmitting device, which comprises: converting position data on an object of interest to a serial signal within a given time; superposing the output of an absolute counter on the serial signal after the output has been converted to a serial signal, the output representing the absolute position of the object of interest; and transmitting the signals in superposition to the control unit along a single channel of transmission path.

    摘要: The present invention is a fan motor for use in various types of electronic equipment, more particularly fan motors which may cool heat radiating electronic parts, in which the object is (a) to prevent noise caused by the air-cutting sound of the fan motor, (b) to allow easy alteration of the blowing direction, and (c) to eliminate damage caused by the counter electromotive force of the field magnetic coil.The fan motor of the present invention consists of (a) a rotor formed by installing permanent magnets on a vane wheel, and (b) a stator formed by installing an electromagnet and a magnetic body on the inside circumferential surface of a casing. A circumferential-edge ring is installed on the vane wheel, so that noise caused by the air-cutting sound of the fan motor is prevented. A conductive circuit is connected to the field magnetic coil of the electromagnet, and the aforementioned magnetic body can be selectively positioned in a relatively advanced angular position (P.sub.1) or a relatively retarded angular position (P.sub.2) with respect to the electromagnet. A diode (D.sub.2) which eliminates any surge voltage caused by the counter electromotive force of the field magnetic coil is installed in the conductive circuit.

    摘要: A polygon scanner has a lighter rotating shaft on which a polygon mirror is mounted, to prevent a positional deviation of the polygon mirror from the rotating shaft in high speed rotation, in which the rotating shaft is supported through a dynamic pressure air bearing on a fixed shaft, in which the polygon mirror and motor constituent members are mounted on the rotating shaft, and in which the rotating shaft and the polygon mirror are made of respective light weight materials matched with each other in coefficient of thermal expansion, for example of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. Further, an anodic oxide film is formed at least on a portion where the rotating shaft could contact with the fixed shaft, and floating means is provided for constantly floating the rotating shaft relative to the fixed shaft upward in an axial direction thereof. A process for producing the polygon scanner comprises making a predetermined masking on a portion where the rotating shaft could contact with the fixed shaft, prior to an anodic oxidation treatment to form an anodic oxide film on the portion, and then performing the anodic oxidation treatment, whereby, during the treatment, forming an anodic oxide film and a pattern of recesses and protrusions for dynamic pressure generation corresponding to a pattern of the masking, which are constituent elements of a dynamic pressure air bearing.

    摘要: A variable speed direct drive drill press/router is disclosed. The drill press/router includes a housing supported above a horizontal bed which contains a generally vertically extending spindle that is rotatably mounted within and partially extends below the housing. A manually engageable or motor driven driver axially moves the spindle predetermined distances toward and away from the horizontal bed. For driving the spindle, a switched reluctance motor is mounted at the upper end of the housing for rotary driving engagement at a desired range of predetermined speeds throughout the entire range of axial movement of the spindle. The lower end of the spindle is capable of interchangeably receiving a workpiece rotating tool such as a drill or router for drilling or routing a workpiece.

    摘要: A reaction torque actuator has a sensor operatively coupled between a motor housing and an outer housing. A pair of bearings support the motor within the outer housing in a spaced, concentric relationship. The bearings allow a mutual angular displacement of the housing about the axis of rotation of the output shaft of the motor, but they isolate the sensor from the axial and radial moments. A resolver surrounds the shaft at its output end to produce a signal that accurately measures the angular position of the shaft. A controller regulates power to the motor windings as a function of signals from the resolver and the sensor and torque commands. In a preferred form for use in robotics where very accurate force control is desired, the motor: is a brushless D.C. motor, the sensor is of the strain gauge type, and the controller uses high quality amplifiers, sine wave commutation, cable shielding, and filtering to limit the noise generated by electronic switching.
