    摘要: A circuit 100 for a five phase DC brushless motor includes a first coil A and a first primary switch S1 for controlling current through the first coil; a second coil B and a second primary switch S3 for controlling current through the second coil; a third coil C and a third primary switch S5 for controlling current through the third coil; a fourth coil D and a fourth primary switch S7 for controlling current through the fourth coil; a fifth coil E and a fifth primary switch S9 for controlling current through the fifth coil. The first coil A is arranged to have a polarity of back EMF opposite of that of the third coil C; the second coil B is arranged to have a polarity of back EMF opposite of that of the fourth coil D; the third coil C is arranged to have a polarity of back EMF opposite of that of the fifth coil E, the fourth coil D is arranged to have a polarity of back EMF opposite of that of the first coil A; and the fifth coil E is arranged to have a polarity of back EMF opposite of that of the second coil B. The circuit further includes a first freewheeling current conducting switch S2 and a diode A between the first coil and the third coil; a second freewheeling current conducting switch S4 and a diode between the second coil and the fourth coil; a third freewheeling current conducing switch S6 and a diode between the third coil and the fifth coil; a fourth freewheeling current conducting switch S8 and a diode between the fourth coil and the first coil, and a fifth freewheeling current conducting switch S10 and diode between the fifth coil and the second coil.

The pulse width modulated firing pulses are gradually reduced in duty cycle so that the transition between the current in the winding in the active period and the decay of current in a ramp down period is smoothed to reduce the forces leading to vibration and acoustic noise.

    摘要: A semiconductor integrated circuit device incorporates a voltage step-up (boost) circuit which produces a stepped-up (boosted) voltage higher than the power voltage based on a periodic pulse signal generated internally or supplied from the outside. The stepped-up voltage is supplied to the emitter of a pnp driving transistor that produces a drive current for the output transistor on the voltage source side which is the one of a pair of npn output transistors in push-pull configuration. The voltage step-up circuit has its current supply capacity varied in response to the current flowing through the output transistor or driving transistor.

    摘要: The negative temperature dependency of the torque ripple correction capability of a known drive circuit is offset by making the amplitude of input voltage signals applied to a m-differential amplifier of the drive circuit positively temperature-dependent to improve the overall torque ripple correction capability of the circuit so that deteriorated torque ripples at low temperature and increase in the level of reactive currents at high temperature may be effectively eliminated. Moreover, since temperature induced deformation of waveforms of electric currents to be carried to soft switching coils of the drive circuit is minimized, a too rapid switching speed at low temperature is avoided to suppress generation of electric as well as mechanical noises, while too dull waveforms of electric currents at high temperature are also eliminated.

    摘要: A method and circuit arrangement for the sensor-less detection of the angle of rotation of a synchronous machine without a damper is disclosed. According to the disclosed method and circuit arrangement, measuring signals are used which correspond to voltage jumps or pulses generated by a rectifier and the measuring data obtained are provided to a calculating device which calculates the position of the rotor from the dependence of the stator reactance, whereby premagnetization is set when the synchronous machine is started and a measurement is made on each field weakening and strengthening effect. The advantage of the invention resides in both its high precision and the fact that no additional analog current sources are needed to locate the magnet wheel. In addition, the magnet wheel can be located at any load.

    摘要: A motor control unit having an anti-burning device is provided which includes a rotation detection device for detecting whether the rotational speed of a given motor is below a predetermined level, a power supply limiting device for limiting the time of supplying current to the motor according to its rotational speed when the speed has been detected by the rotation speed detection device to be below the predetermined level. Thereby, the motor is prevented from burning, deteriorating in performance or shortening in life when the motor is overloaded. Also, the rotation detection device detects the condition when the motor is not rotating, and a cyclic power supply device for supplying current at a given cycle when the motor has been found to be not rotating by the aforementioned rotation detection device. Thereby, if the motor has been locked under an overload condition the motor can be readily restarted automatically when the load has been relieved.

    摘要: A circuit and method are provided for automatically adjusting a commutation delay from events indicating a position of a polyphase dc motor. The circuit includes a driver to supply drive current to selected stator coils of said motor. A sequencer is connected to control the driver to apply drive current to selected motor coils to rotate the motor. Motor position detecting circuitry is connected to detect the events indicating the position of the motor. A commutation delay circuit is connected to increment the sequencer in response to the detection of the events indicating the position of the motor detected by the motor position detecting circuitry. A circuit for adjusting the delay of said commutation delay circuit between each event and each sequencer commutation provides optimum motor commutation for maximum power efficiency.According to the method, drive current is supplied to selected stator coils of said motor in predetermined commutated sequences to rotate the motor. Events are detected indicating the position of the motor, and the delay between each position indicating event and each commutation sequence is automatically adjusted to provide optimum motor commutation for maximum power efficiency.
