The motor control techniques can include operations such as segmenting a pre-defined travel distance, defining a plurality of moves, creating a plurality of motion profiles, and commanding movements. The plurality of moves can utilize the segmented travel distance for a drive mechanism associated with the footwear platform. Each motion profile of the plurality of motion profiles can include one or more moves from the plurality of moves. Commanding movement of the drive mechanism can be based on selection of one or more motion profiles from the plurality of motion profiles.

    摘要: A control circuit arranged to detect an initial rotor position of a brushless DC motor includes: a voltage integrator circuit, arranged to perform integration upon an input voltage, to generate a plurality of integrated voltages; a PWM generating circuit, arranged to generate and output a plurality of PWM signals to the brushless DC motor through a drive circuit, and stop outputting a PWM signal that is any of the plurality of PWM signals to the brushless DC motor according to an integrated voltage corresponding to the PWM signal; a current receiving circuit, arranged to receive a plurality of feedback currents from the brushless DC motor; a comparison circuit, arranged to perform comparison upon the plurality of feedback currents, to generate a comparison result; and a decision circuit, arranged to detect the initial rotor position according to the comparison result.

    摘要: A system for controlling a motor includes a motor having a plurality of phases, each phase comprising a coil having a first end coupled to a motor neutral point. A motor driver circuit is coupled to a second end of each coil to provide power to each coil. A motor controller circuit is coupled to the motor driver circuit to control the power that is provided to the motor. A comparator is coupled to compare a voltage at the motor neutral point to a voltage at the second end of each coil to detect a back-EMF polarity and produce a polarity signal representing the back-EMF polarity. A back-EMF filter circuit is coupled to receive the polarity signal and invert the polarity signal if the polarity signal does not match an expected value.

    摘要: A power tool is provided including a brushless motor having a stator defining a plurality of phases and a rotor. A power unit is provided including power switches operable to deliver power to the motor. A primary controller is interfaced with the power unit to output drive signals to drive the phases of the motor over a series of sectors of the rotor rotation. The primary controller measures a back-electromotive force voltage of the motor and transitions motor commutation from the present sector to the next sector based in relation to the back-EMF voltage. A second controller is provided to receive at least one of the drive signals, calculate a speed and/or direction of rotation of the motor from the drive signals, and take corrective action to cut off supply of power to the motor if it detects an overspeed condition or incorrect direction of rotation.
