摘要: A flywheel system includes a fixture including a bottom support, a rotor characterized by a gravitational load and configured to rotate above the bottom support about a rotation axis, and a bottom magnetic levitation bearing. The bottom magnetic levitation bearing includes (a) a ring of first magnets mechanically coupled with a bottom end of the rotor, (b) a ring of second magnets mechanically coupled to the bottom support, beneath the ring of first magnets, the second magnets repelling the first magnets to magnetically support at least a portion of the gravitational load above the bottom support, (c) a ring of third magnets mechanically coupled with the bottom end, and (d) a ring of fourth magnets mechanically coupled to the bottom support radially outwards from the ring of third magnets, the fourth magnets repelling the third magnets to at least reduce radial decentering of the rotor relative to the fixture.

摘要: A bearing 100 is provided between an outermost peripheral portion and an innermost peripheral portion of a flywheel 110. The bearing 100 includes a bearing rotor 120 firmly fixed to rotate integrally with the flywheel 110, and a bearing stator 130 provided inside the bearing rotor 120 in a fixed state, and includes a radially outer side magnet 121 and a radially inner side magnet 131 with the same magnetic pole on the bearing rotor 120 and the bearing stator 130 at positions facing each other. Accordingly, the bearing rotor 120 rotates at a position close to a rotating shaft 1, so that the rotation of the bearing rotor 120 and the flywheel 110 rotating with the bearing rotor 120 is stabilized, and the bearing 100 is compactly disposed at a position inside the outermost peripheral portion of the flywheel 110, thereby being capable of downsizing the device.

摘要: An electric machine may include a housing that encloses both a radial motor producing radial flux in a first direction, the radial flux influences a first magnetic unit to produce a first torque on a rotor arm attached to a shaft. The housing can also include an axial motor producing axial flux in a second direction to influence a second magnetic unit to produce a second torque on the rotor arm attached to the shaft, wherein the radial motor and the axial motor are positioned in the housing to reduce cross magnetic flux from either the radial motor or the axial motor. The primary radial motor can include either a permanent magnetic motor or an induction motor. The secondary radial motor can include one of a permanent magnet motor, an induction motor, or a transverse flux motor. The current and phase of primary and secondary motors can be independently controllable.

A method is provided for converting rotational kinetic energy to electrical energy for charging one or more battery cells. The method can include rotating, by a shaft, a rotor in a magnetic flux field to generate current, wherein the rotor comprises an electrically conductive portion having an inner diameter conductive connection surface and an outer diameter conductive connection surface, and wherein a voltage potential is induced between the inner and outer diameter connection surfaces upon rotation in the magnetic flux field. The method can also include selectively coupling the generated current from the rotating rotor to terminals of the one or more battery cells.

摘要: Provided is an electric stabiliser for stabilising a floating structure that includes a track for guiding a mover as a moving stabiliser mass. A direct current (DC) linear motor includes a planar stator that extends along the track and the mover that is adapted to move forwards and backwards along the track as the stabiliser mass. The planar stator includes a polyphase stator winding with winding coils connected. The mover includes permanent motor magnets facing the polyphase stator winding that define mover poles of alternating polarity along the track direction. Two active magnetic bearings is positioned between the track and a main body of the mover for selectively levitating the mover. In use, the active magnetic bearings levitate the mover above the track and the DC linear motor is controlled to move the mover backwards and forwards along the track to dampen a rolling/pitching movement of the floating structure.

摘要: A tumbler-type vehicle-mounted flywheel energy storage device with five-degree-of-freedom magnetic suspension support for an electric vehicle is provided. A flywheel is formed into a bowl by a metal flywheel rotor and a composite material ring by interference fit. The metal flywheel rotor comprises an upper-section ring, a mid-section hollow hemisphere, and a lower-section ring. The composite material ring is closely fitted outside the upper-section ring to form a bowl-shaped bowl opening part. An annular axial thrust disc protrudes inward in a radial direction from an inner wall on a bottom end of the upper-section ring. An area above the axial thrust disc is a bowl opening empty slot layer, and an area below the axial thrust disc is a sphere empty slot layer and a bowl bottom empty slot layer in sequence, which form an inner cavity of the flywheel. A supporting frame is fitted in an inner stator.
