摘要: A clutch hub is selectively held against rotation by a brake and selectively coupled to an input shaft by a clutch. The clutch pack for the brake is splined to the outside of the clutch hub while the clutch pack for the clutch is splined to the inside. To reduce axial length, the clutch packs are packaged radially outside of a gear set, increasing the diameter of the clutch hub. When the clutch hub is subjected to high rotational speeds, high centrifugal stresses result. These stresses are reduced by openings in the spline teeth and in the recesses between the spline teeth. Fluid flow to the outer clutch pack is controlled by openings in a clutch housing.

摘要: A drive power transmission device is provided that either disengages a first friction engagement element or a second friction engagement element when the other is engaged. The drive power transmission device detects the temperature of lubricating oil flowing in each friction engagement element using a temperature sensor. The drive power transmission device selectively disengages either a forward clutch or a reverse brake disengages when the other is engaged. The forward clutch and the reverse brake overlap axially, and are layered radially in an inner/outer arrangement. The temperature sensor is positioned at the periphery of the forward clutch and the reverse brake. A lubricating oil pathway is formed such that lubricating oil for cooling the forward clutch and the reverse brake passes through the forward clutch and the reverse brake in the radial direction from the inside of the forward clutch and the reverse brake to the temperature sensor.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle includes an engine coupled to a planetary gearset and an electric motor configured to provide motor torque directly to a torque transfer set. An overdrive clutch is configured to, when engaged, bypass at least a portion of engine torque to an overdrive shaft directly connected to the torque transfer set. This allows the engine to also provide torque directly to the torque transfer set along with the motor in an overdrive mode of operation. At least one controller is programmed to control the motor and/or the engine based on an estimated amount of torque transferred through the overdrive clutch.

A first anti-rotator selectively restricts rotation of the rotary member connected to the engine. A first motor generator is connected to another one of the rotary members of the planetary gear set. A second motor generator is connected to the remaining one of the rotary members of the planetary gear set. An output shaft has a first output gear thereon, which is externally engaged with the rotary member connected to the first motor generator. A second anti-rotator selectively restricts rotation of the rotary member connected to the second motor generator.

At least one shifting mechanism is provided for engaging the transmission ratio stages (i1, i2). To carry out powershifts, the shifting mechanism includes at least one interlocking shifting element (5) and at least one frictional shifting element (6, 6A). Each of the transmission ratio stages (i1, i2) can be engaged by the interlocking shifting element (5) and at least one of the transmission ratio stages (i2) can be engaged both by the interlocking shifting element (5) and by the frictional shifting element (6). Methods for carrying out a powershift, between a frictional shifting element (6, 6A) and an interlocking shifting element (5) in the drive-train, are also disclosed.

摘要: A speed reducer includes an internal gear, an input shaft coaxial with the internal gear, and an eccentric disk on the input shaft and rotatable inside the internal gear. A cage, at an end of an output shaft, coaxial with the input shaft, and rotatable between the internal gear and the eccentric disk has pockets fewer in number than the internal gear's internal teeth. Rollers are received in the respective pockets such that when the input shaft rotates once, the rollers circumferentially move by a distance equal to one internal tooth width, causing the output shaft to be rotated at a reduced speed. The root radius of the internal gear, the radius of the circumcircle of the rolling bearing, and the outer diameter of the rollers are determined such that roller gaps defined between the rollers and the tooth bottoms of the internal gear are controlled to reduce vibration.

Each transmission gearing arrangement includes a front shiftable gearing arrangement configured to establish a variety of speed ratios between an intermediate shaft and an input shaft. These speed ratios include a reverse speed ratio, a zero speed ratio, two underdrive ratios, and a direct ratio. Each transmission also includes a rear shiftable gearing arrangement configured to selectively establish particular speed relationships among the input shaft, the intermediate shaft, and an output shaft.
