摘要: A clutch assembly is disclosed herein that generally has at least three operating conditions: an open condition, a transition condition, and a locked condition. The operating conditions are achieved based on displacement of a dog clutch ring relative to a pocket ring and a cam ring. In the open condition, rockers of a ratcheting assembly are completely disengaged from ramps on a cam ring. In the transition condition, the rockers engage with the ramps on the cam ring to allow a ratcheting motion in one rotational direction and a locked state in the other rotational direction. In the locked condition, splines on the dog clutch ring engage with splines on the cam ring to provide a rotationally fixed connection in both rotational directions.

The transmission includes a plurality of torque-transmitting mechanisms between the input and output members, wherein the torque transmitting mechanisms are selectively engageable in combinations of at least four to establish at least ten forward speed ratios between the input member and the output member.

摘要: A jump shift of an automatic transmission with multiple shift speeds such as, e.g., ten forward speeds involves operation of many engagement elements. The shifting operation for the jump shift is therefore complicated, making it difficult for the automatic transmission to respond quickly. After shifting to the seventh speed as a direct coupling speed is completed by engaging three clutches C1, C3, C4, the remaining other clutch C2 is also engaged at the seventh speed. In the case of a jump shift, e.g., a shift from the seventh speed to the fifth speed, shifting to the fifth speed is completed by disengaging the clutch C1 and performing control to disengage the clutch C3 and to engage a brake B1 with the remaining other clutch C2 kept in the engaged state. This facilitates the shifting operation from the direct coupling speed and allows the automatic transmission to respond quickly.

A shiftable gearing arrangement establishes a variety of speed ratios between the input and a first shaft. In some embodiments, a fixed speed ratio is established upstream or downstream of the shiftable gearing arrangement. In reverse and low gear ratios, a low clutch couples the first shaft to the output. In the high gear ratios, a combining planetary gear set establishes a linear speed relationship between the first shaft, a second shaft rotating at a speed proportional to the input, and the output.

摘要: An input shaft (1) connectable to an engine (5), an output gear (2), a transmission case (3) and a Ravigneaux planetary gear unit (4) are provided. Four rotational elements of the Ravigneaux planetary gear unit (4) are a single pinion side sun gear (Ss), a carrier (C), a ring gear (R) and a double pinion side sun gear (Sd) which are arranged orderly on a common speed diagram. The single pinion side sun gear (Ss) is constantly connected to a motor/generator (6), and the ring gear (R) is constantly connected to the output gear (2). And, with usage of a low & reverse clutch (L&R/C), a high clutch (H/C) and a low brake (L/B), a first speed (1st), a second speed (2nd), a third speed (3rd) and a stepless change speed (eCVT) are established.
