摘要: A torque transmission arrangement includes a cylindrical friction element carrier and a snap-ring, the friction element carrier carries a pressing plate and a reaction plate of an outer friction-based torque-transmission mechanism rotationally secured to an outer surface and a pressing plate and a reaction plate of an inner friction-based torque-transmission mechanism rotationally secured to an inner surface. The friction element carrier includes through-holes distributed around the circumference of the friction element carrier. The snap-ring includes radial projections distributed around the inner or outer circumference of the snap-ring and configured to extend through said through-holes when the snap-ring is mounted on the friction element carrier, such that the snap-ring protrudes in a radial direction beyond both the inner and outer surfaces of the friction element carrier for retaining the inner and outer reaction plates of the inner and outer friction-based torque-transmission mechanisms on the friction element carrier.

摘要: A clutch hub is selectively held against rotation by a brake and selectively coupled to an input shaft by a clutch. The clutch pack for the brake is splined to the outside of the clutch hub while the clutch pack for the clutch is splined to the inside. To reduce axial length, the clutch packs are packaged radially outside of a gear set, increasing the diameter of the clutch hub. When the clutch hub is subjected to high rotational speeds, high centrifugal stresses result. These stresses are reduced by openings in the spline teeth and in the recesses between the spline teeth. Fluid flow to the outer clutch pack is controlled by openings in a clutch housing.

摘要: A clutch for a lift fan with input and output shafts on a common rotational axis, connected by disc shaped output clutch plates oriented normal to the axis. A keyway extends radially inward from a mouth at an outer diameter of each output clutch plate to a seat at an inner diameter of the respective clutch plate. At least one output shaft lug key may be positioned in the keyway and extends axially from one output clutch plate to the other output clutch plate, which couples the rotation of the output clutch plates to the rotation the output shaft and allows axial movement of the two output clutch plates relative the output shaft lug key, the output shaft has an outer radial surface and an inner radial surface. At least one input clutch plate positioned axially between the two output clutch plates and rotationally fixed to the input shaft.

摘要: A friction element assembly for a transmission of a motor vehicle includes a set of plates and friction members. A piston assembly is configured to apply a force to the set of plates and friction members. The friction element assembly also includes a housing with a mounting groove; a pressure plate having first and second edges; and a snap ring positioned in the mounting groove. The snap ring is positioned such that first edge of the pressure plate contacts the snap ring and the second edge of the pressure plate extends across a portion of the snap ring. The snap ring is L-shaped and includes a leg portion that contacts the second edge of the pressure plate when the piston assembly applies a force to the set of plates and friction members.

摘要: A vehicle includes an electric motor and a clutch disposed on a drive shaft. The electric motor is disposed on one side from a middle of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction, while the clutch and a sprocket are disposed on a second side from the middle of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction. The clutch is connected to a clutch lever so that the state of engagement of the clutch is changed in response to an operation of the clutch lever. It is thus possible to increase the degree of freedom in torque transmission control by a driver, to increase an output torque of the electric motor, and to reduce the size of the clutch.
