摘要: A wheel assembly for a remote vehicle comprises a wheel structure comprising a plurality of spokes interconnecting a rim and a hub. The spokes comprise at least one slit extending therethrough radially inward from the rim to the hub. The assembly also comprises a flipper structure comprising an arm, a plurality of legs, and an attachment base. The plurality of legs and the attachment base comprise a four-bar linkage. The assembly further comprises an insert comprising a bore with a flat surface that tapers outward from a top portion to a bottom portion of the insert. The insert being configured to couple the flipper structure to the wheel structure via an axle on the remote vehicle and prevent backlash between the axle and the flipper structure. The flipper structure being configured to transmit axial forces to the wheel structure. The wheel structure being configured to absorb radial and axial forces.

摘要: A track assembly to be mounted on a vehicle. The track assembly has a frame, a drive wheel, and front and rear idler wheel assemblies rotationally mounted to the frame. A track is mounted around the front and rear idler wheel assemblies, and the drive wheel. The track has traction lugs distributed along an outer surface thereof. The frame has an effective frame length equal to a horizontal distance between a foremost point on the outer surface of the track and the rear idler wheel assembly axis. The effective frame length is between 48 and 60 inches. The frame has an effective frame height equal to a vertical distance between the drive wheel axis and a point on the outer surface of the track, the point being positioned directly below the drive wheel axis. The effective frame height is between 17 and 20 inches.

摘要: A track assembly is to be mounted on a drive axle of a vehicle. The track assembly has a frame, at least one leading idler wheel mounted to the front of the frame for rotation about a transverse leading idler wheel axis, at least one trailing idler wheel mounted to the rear of the frame for rotation about a traverse trailing idler wheel axis parallel to the leading idler wheel axis, a single drive wheel assembly, and at least two slide rails. The slide rails have corresponding forward-facing portions, central portions, and rearward-facing portions. The forward-facing portions project from the front ends of the central portions by a projection that is greater than a length of the central portions. A vehicle having the track assembly is also described.

摘要: A carriage assembly includes a primary frame, a first idler wheel mounted to the primary frame, and a secondary frame pivotably mounted to the primary frame. The carriage assembly further includes an idler wheel assembly coupled to the secondary frame and movable with respect to the secondary frame along a longitudinal axis of the idler wheel assembly. The idler wheel assembly includes at least one second idler wheel and at least one third idler wheel mounted to the idler wheel assembly such that the second idler wheel is located between the first idler wheel and the third idler wheel. The first idler wheel is configured to pivot with the primary frame relative to the secondary frame, and the second idler wheel and the third idler wheel are configured to move with the idler wheel assembly relative to the secondary frame along the longitudinal axis of the idler wheel assembly.

摘要: Track assemblies for power machines include a track frame, including a primary portion and a second portion moveable with respect to the primary portion. A plurality of rollers are positioned along the primary portion of the track frame relative to each other and the center of gravity of the power machine to provide an improved capability to compensate for vibration generated as the power machine moves over a support surface. In some aspects, a portion of a tensioning idler is positioned within a cylinder defined by one of the plurality of rollers.

摘要: A controller for a vehicle having a continuous track for vehicle propulsion. The controller is programmed to: process (i) a speed value indicative of a speed at which the vehicle is being driven; and (ii) a time value indicative of a period of time for which the vehicle has been driven at that speed; determine an overheating parameter value based on the speed value and the time value; compare the overheating parameter value with a threshold value, wherein the threshold value is representative of undesirable operation for the continuous track; and generate an output signal for the vehicle in accordance with a result of the comparison of the overheating parameter value with the threshold value.

摘要: The invention relates to a drive unit for a tracked vehicle such as a tracked forwarder. The drive unit comprises a track support beam, at least one drive wheel, a set of support wheels and an endless track, said at least one drive wheel being arranged to drive said endless track running over said at least one drive wheel and said set of support wheels. The drive wheel and the support wheels are rotatably attached in said track support beam. The drive unit further comprises an electric motor attached to said at least one drive wheel and integrated in said track support beam, and a track support beam integrated lubrication system comprising a pump unit arranged for pressurized supply of lubricant to parts of the drive unit in need of lubrication.

摘要: A track assembly for traction of an off-road vehicle, such as an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or a snowmobile, is disclosed. The track assembly comprises a plurality of track-contacting wheels, which comprises: a drive wheel; and a plurality of idler wheels spaced apart in a longitudinal direction of the track assembly. The track assembly also comprises an endless track disposed around the track-contacting wheels. A frame of the track assembly may comprise a hollow frame structure. The hollow frame structure may be dimensioned to impede accumulation of snow, mud, rocks, debris, etc. in the track assembly. The track assembly may comprise interwheel guides between longitudinally adjacent ones of the idler wheels to contact a bottom run of the endless track, and/or fenders adjacent to given ones of the idler wheels. The frame's hollowness, the interwheel guides, and/or the fenders may be realized during molding of a portion of the frame using a blow molding or other fluid-based molding process.
