    摘要: An extrusion die is used for the simultaneous extrusion of multiple strands of extrusion material at the same flow rate. The extrusion die includes a mounting flange having an inlet cavity with an inlet orifice at one end for receiving extrusion material from an extruder. The extrusion die also includes a valve body including at least one adjustment hole, and a channel body arranged between the mounting flange and the valve body. The channel body defines at least one channel extending therethrough to provide fluid communication for the extrusion material between the inlet cavity and at least one outlet passageway provided in the valve body and respectively corresponding to the at least one adjustment hole. Additionally, a flow control gate is received in each adjustment hole to externally control the flow velocity of the extrusion material through the outlet passageway before it exits the die. Additionally, the flow control gate allows a user to adjust flow rate variations caused by temperature changes across the die.

    摘要: The invention relates to an extrusion storage head (10) for a blow-molding machine and a method for production of blow-molded multi-layer plastic hollow bodies made from a two- or multi-layer pre-form, whereby two or more peripheral manifolds (16, 18) are arranged above a storage reservoir (20), from which the peripherally-extruded plastic may be sequentially ejected as a tubular parison from a controlled annular nozzle (24) by means of an ejector piston (22). According to the invention, an additional peripheral manifold (26) is arranged between the storage chamber (20) and the controlled annular nozzle (24) for application of a further plastic layer (outer functional layer) on the previously peripherally extruded plastic carrier. The additional peripheral manifold (26) is connected through a supply line (28) to an additional external storage element (30) for the molten plastic of the functional layer, wherein the additional external storage element (30) has a separate extruder (32).

    摘要: A device and method for correcting extrudate bowing in any direction to true nullzeronull magnitude. The bow deflector device includes a base having an aperture sufficiently large for a feed stream of plastic batch material to pass therethrough, and a plurality of adjustable plates movably mounted to the base, each adjustable plate being capable of independent movement, wherein by passing through the bow deflector device a unique flow velocity is superimposed on the feed stream of plastic batch material, as determined by the diameter of the aperture, and the position of the adjustable plates. The bow deflector device optionally includes a cover for the adjustable plates, securely mounted to the base. In an apparatus for extruding a honeycomb structure, the bow deflector device is positioned upstream a honeycomb die, such that a feed stream of plastic batch material passes through the bow deflector device prior to entering the die.
