    摘要: An annular co-extrusion die for extruding multi-layer tubular plastic film has inner die mandrels stacked one upon another. Each die mandrel has a generally U-shaped cross-section with side walls extending substantially in parallel with the longitudinal axis of the die. The outer surfaces of the die side walls each have a series of helical shaped grooves formed therein. An annular outer die member surrounds the first inner die mandrel and the inner surface of the outer member and the outer surface of the first inner die mandrel form a longitudinally extending annular extrusion passage. Additional longitudinally extending annular extrusion passages are formed between outer and inner surfaces of nesting inner die mandrels.

A tubular inner passage centered on the axis extends in the direction from the first inlet around the splitter to the outer outlet and a tubular middle passage centered on the axis extends axially in the direction from the second inlet around the splitter to the middle outlet. An outer passage having an upstream portion axially downstream of the splitter extends transversely of the axis. A tubular downstream portion also axially downstream of the splitter extends coaxially around the inner and middle passages from the upstream portion to the outer outlet.

    摘要: The invention relates to an extrusion storage head (10) for a blow-molding machine and a method for production of blow-molded multi-layer plastic hollow bodies made from a two- or multi-layer pre-form, whereby two or more peripheral manifolds (16, 18) are arranged above a storage reservoir (20), from which the peripherally-extruded plastic may be sequentially ejected as a tubular parison from a controlled annular nozzle (24) by means of an ejector piston (22). According to the invention, an additional peripheral manifold (26) is arranged between the storage chamber (20) and the controlled annular nozzle (24) for application of a further plastic layer (outer functional layer) on the previously peripherally extruded plastic carrier. The additional peripheral manifold (26) is connected through a supply line (28) to an additional external storage element (30) for the molten plastic of the functional layer, wherein the additional external storage element (30) has a separate extruder (32).

    摘要: A method and apparatus are described for coextruding two materials A and B, in which B is extruded on A through a port (3), in which the separating wall between the flows of A and B is formed as a flap closure (4) adapted to act as a non-return valve for the flow of B into A, and further means are provided for extruding B through the port in pulses. The pulses may be effected by opening and closing the closure, by mechanical transmission means or by the effect of imposing pressure difference on the flap (4) by the flows of A and/or B. The pulsing means preferably involves rams (1). The invention is particularly suitable for extruding a low viscosity material B onto a higher viscosity material A, or for making sheets or pipes with alternating segments of differential flexibility, or for coextruding a flow of solid particles with a flow of liquid.

    摘要: Hybrid articles comprising a molded mixture of a light metal alloy and a polymer are formed by processing (including co-molding and co-extruding) the metal in a semi-solid state at a high shear rate and the polymer in a melt processable state. For example, magnesium alloy particles in a thixotropic condition are mixed with particles or globules of the polymer and molded into a hybrid metal-containing and polymer-containing body. The proportions of magnesium and polymer may be varied substantially depending on the desired properties of the hybrid article. In another embodiment the light metal and polymer may be co-extruded as two or more distinct layers into a solid or hollow hybrid body.
