Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing hot rolled steel sheets. The method includes the steps of passing molten steel through a continuous caster (11) having a mold after having been passed through a ladle (91) and a tundish (92) to manufacture a slab; cutting the slab to predetermined lengths using a cutter (14a) to form a plurality of cut slabs; heating the cut slabs to a predetermined temperature in a first heating furnace (15a) descaling the cut slabs heated in the first heating furnace; rolling the slabs in a reduction unit (13) to a predetermined thickness to form a plurality of flat bars; heating the flat bars to a predetermined temperature in a second heating furnace (15b); coiling the flat bars by a coiling station (16a) while the flat bars are maintained in a heated state; uncoiling the flat bars by an uncoiler (16b); and rolling the flat bars to a predetermined thickness in a finishing mill.

A method for printing on a substrate, including providing a substrate having at least one three-dimensional surface and performing inkjet printing of an ink on at least a portion of the at least one three-dimensional surface by repositioning an inkjet printing head relative to the substrate in only two dimensions.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of producing aromatics and olefins from oils derived from coal or wood, including partially saturating and cracking the oils derived from coal or wood in a hydrogenation and reaction area, separating them depending on the number of carbons, recirculating heavy oils having 11 or more carbons to the hydrogenation and reaction area, feeding oils suitable for producing BTX to an aromatic separation process and a transalkylation process to recover aromatics, and feeding hydrocarbonaceous components having 5 or less carbons to a light separation process, thus obtaining olefins.
Abstract:
An intake system mounted to a vehicle controls an opening angle of a variable flap according to an RPM of an engine, an intake pressure, and an opening angle of a variable flap to optimize performance in various operation regions by detecting engine RPM and an intake air pressure, and determining an operation region based on the RPM of the engine; applying the intake pressure to determine a target amount of air and an opening angle of a variable flap for an operation region; driving an actuator to adjust an opening angle of the variable flap to a target opening angle; and analyzing an operation position of the actuator to detect an opening angle of the variable flap, and, when the target opening angle is not followed, correcting a drive of the actuator such that an opening angle of the variable flap follows the target opening angle.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of producing an aromatic hydrocarbon compound from byproducts of aromatic carboxylic acid and/or aromatic carboxylic acid alkylester preparation processes using hydroprocessing under conditions of high temperature and high hydrogen pressure in the presence of a catalyst, and to a hydroprocessing catalyst used therein.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a catalyst including metal phosphide for preparation of biodiesel, and a method of preparing biodiesel from feedstock comprising vegetable oil through hydrotreating using the catalyst. When the catalyst including metal phosphide is used as a catalyst for preparation of biodiesel, preparation activity of hydrotreated biodiesel is high even without continuous supply of sulfiding agent, and hydrotreating and isomerization reactions occur at the same time, thus obtaining high-quality hydrotreated biodiesel having a low pour point.
Abstract:
A method for making a microelectronic assembly includes providing a microelectronic element with first conductive elements and a dielectric element with second conductive elements. At least some of either the first conductive elements or the second conductive elements may be conductive posts and other of the first or second conductive elements may include a bond metal disposed between some of the conductive posts. An underfill layer may overly some of the first or second conductive elements. At least one of the first conductive elements may be moved towards the other of the second conductive elements so that the posts pierce the underfill layer and at least deform the bond metal. The microelectronic element and the dielectric element can be heated to join them together. The height of the posts above the surface may be at least forty percent of a distance between surfaces of the microelectronic element and dielectric element.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a composition for treating or preventing amyloid-related diseases including 4-O-methylhonokiol as an active ingredient. More specifically, a pharmaceutical composition including 4-O-methylhonokiol, which is effective for treating or preventing amyloid-related diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, cognitive disorder, defective memory, amyloidosis, etc. is disclosed. The inventors of the present disclosure have found out for the first time that 4-O-methylhonokiol inhibits the production of β-amyloid. It has been confirmed to be useful in treating or preventing amyloid-related diseases. Through animal tests including water maze test and passive avoidance test on mice, 4-O-methylhonokiol has been confirmed to be effective for amyloid-related diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, defective memory, cognitive disorder, and the like. It was further confirmed through acetylcholinesterase activity inhibition test using mouse brain cortex and hippocampus tissue that they are particularly effective in treating or preventing Alzheimer's disease among the amyloid-related diseases.
