Abstract: A feed mixture comprising at least one C3 olefin and/or at least one C4 olefin may be contacted with a zeolite catalyst under oligomerization reaction conditions to form a product mixture comprising a plurality of olefin oligomers. The zeolite catalyst, optionally with one or more further modifications, may be selected for operability at high WHSV values that may produce at least C12 olefins in the product mixture having an average branching index of about 2.2 or less, such as about 1.3 to about 2.0. Under suitable conditions, C10-C13 olefins may comprise at least about 25% of the product mixture, based on total olefin oligomers. Percentage conversion of the at least one C3 olefin and/or at least one C4 olefin may impact the average branching index of C12 olefin oligomers and selectivity for C10-C13 olefin oligomers. An amount of C4 olefin in the feed mixture may produce a targeted selectivity for C12 olefins.

Abstract: A process for preparing a catalyst for the hydrogenation of aromatic or polyaromatic compounds comprising nickel, copper and a support comprising at least one refractory oxide, comprising the following steps:
bringing the support into contact with a solution containing at least one copper precursor and one nickel precursor;
drying the catalyst precursor at a temperature of less than 250° C.;

The method includes a solution preparation step, an aerosolizing step, a drying step, a first calcining step, a reducing gas adding step, and a second calcining step. The solution preparation step is provided for preparing a precursor solution. The aerosolizing step is performed for obtaining an atomized droplet. The drying step is performed for converting to a precursor crystallite. The first calcining step is performed for obtaining an oxidation state catalyst. The reducing gas adding step is performed for adding hydrogen. The second calcining step is performed for obtaining the nickel-cerium dioxide-aluminum oxide hybrid nanoparticle cluster catalyst.

Abstract: A process for cracking olefins to produce propylene, ethylene, or both, includes providing a feed stream that includes mixed butenes and contacting the feed stream with a cracking catalyst at reaction conditions that cause at least a portion of the mixed butenes in the feed stream to react to form propylene, ethylene, or both. The cracking catalyst includes zeolite particles formed from shape selective zeolite particles and an alumina binder. The cracking catalyst further includes at least one transition metal oxide impregnated onto the zeolite particles, where the at least one transition metal oxide can be iron oxide, nickel oxide, or a combinations of these. The cracking catalyst with the iron oxide, nickel oxide, or both increases conversion of mixed butenes to propylene, ethylene, or both alone or in combination with a metathesis upstream of the cracking catalyst, as compared to conventional cracking catalysts.

Oligomerization may comprise a first stage ethylene oligomerization step followed by a second stage oligomerization of the first stage oligomerized olefin to higher olefins. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for non-oxidative direct conversion of methane. Specifically, in the method, a methane/hydrogen gas is introduced into an Inconel 600 reactor at a superficial velocity of 100 to 200 cm·min−1 and a catalyst is not externally introduced into the reactor. Under the conditions, a non-oxidative direct methane conversion reaction is performed in the Inconel 600 reactor. The method maximizes the reaction rate, minimizes coke formation, and increases the yields of C2 hydrocarbon compounds and aromatic compounds.
