摘要: A reconfigurable, dual-band, MIMO antenna apparatus, a planar MIMO antenna system utilizing the antenna apparatus, and a method of transmitting and receiving a signal by the antenna apparatus are provided. The apparatus includes a dielectric planar substrate, a first element, a second element, two varactor diodes per element, and a microstrip feed-line. The first element and the second element each have slotted concentric annular rings. The second element is separated on the dielectric planar substrate from the first element, but is coplanar on the dielectric planar substrate with the first element. The two varactor diodes are placed in series with biasing circuitry, the biasing circuitry including RF chokes and current-limiting resistors. The microstrip feed-line feeds both antenna elements. The dual-band antenna elements can each be independently and concurrently tunable to two signal frequencies bands.

摘要: A tunable grounded positive and negative active inductor simulator and impedance multiplier circuit and a method for implementing the tunable grounded positive and negative active inductor simulator and impedance multiplier circuit are described. The circuit includes one second generation voltage-mode conveyor circuit (VCII+), a voltage source configured to generate an output current, a first impedance, a second impedance and an operational transconductance amplifier OTA. The first impedance is connected between the voltage source and the positive VCII+ input terminal, Y. The second impedance is connected between the second output terminal and a ground terminal. The OTA is configured to have a transconductance gain. The circuit is configured to be tuned by a selection of values for the first and second impedances.

摘要: A method of converting a polymer including contacting a catalyst with a low-density polyethylene polymer to form a mixture and heating the mixture to a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius (° C.) to 600° C. in a microwave reactor to form a product. The catalyst includes an HZSM-5 zeolite, and 1 weight percent (wt. %) to 10 wt. % gallium and 0.1% to 5 wt. % copper, based on the total weight of the catalyst.

摘要: Control system and method for integration and transition between standalone and grid-connected operations of a hybrid renewable microgrid system include a multiple-input multiple-output controller that manages a rotor-side and a grid-side converter, structured in a back-to-back configuration, alongside a DC-DC buck-boost converter. The system harnesses energy from a solar generation unit of interconnected photovoltaic panels and a wind generation unit linked to a permanent magnet synchronous generator. Both energy sources are efficiently coordinated through maximum power point tracking control. The solar unit is directly connected to a DC bus, which also interfaces with the grid-side converter. An energy storage unit is seamlessly integrated, providing power management and voltage regulation capabilities to maintain consistent power delivery and quality, even during fluctuations in renewable energy production.

摘要: A body area network (BAN) architecture including a plurality of ultra-wideband (UWB) BAN node devices, a control node device, and a remote node device is described. The plurality of UWB BAN node devices measures real-time physiological data of a patient and transmits the physiological data to the control node device using UWB signals. The control node device encodes the UWB signals using an spectral amplitude coding-optical code division multiple access (SAC-OCDMA) encoder, modulates the encoded UWB signals using an on-off keying (OOK) scheme, combines the modulated UWB signals into an optical signal using an optical coupler, and transmits the combined optical signal through a free space optical (FSO) link to the remote node device. The remote node device decodes the combined optical signal using an SAC-OCDMA decoder, converts the decoded optical signal into an electrical signal, and analyzes the physiological data based on the electrical signal.

摘要: An apparatus, a method, and a non-transitory computer readable medium for event detection of passive seismic data are disclosed. The apparatus includes processing circuitry extracts features from the passive seismic data based on a backbone subnetwork of a residual deep neural network. The processing circuitry generates bounding box proposals for a region of interest (ROI) in the passive seismic data based on the extracted features being input to a region proposal network of the residual deep neural network. The processing circuitry classifies the bounding box proposals into two groups. Each bounding box proposal in a first group indicates that a corresponding seismic signal presents in the ROI. Each bounding box proposal in a second group indicates that no seismic signal presents in the ROI. The processing circuitry determines at least one seismic signal in the ROI from the first group of bounding box proposals.

摘要: A drilling fluid composition includes an aqueous base fluid, 0.01 to 10 wt. % of a date palm leaves extract (DPLE), 1 to 10 wt. % of clay particles, and 0.01 to 1 wt. % of a base, where each wt. % based on a total weight of the drilling fluid composition. The DPLE is homogenously disposed on surfaces of the clay particles. The clay particles disposed with the DPLE are present in the drilling fluid composition in the form of a composite. A pellet made from the clay particles treated with the DPLE has a swelling value at least 75% less than a swelling value of the pellet in an aqueous composition that does not contain the DLPE. The CQDs have a Stokes shift of at least 80 nm at an excitation wavelength of 270-410 nm.
