摘要: A three-tandem (3T) perovskite/silicon (PVT)-based tandem solar cell (TSC) includes an antireflection coating (ARC), a first transparent conductive oxide layer (TCO), a hole transport layer (HTL), a perovskite (PVT) layer, a second transparent conductive oxide layer (TCO), an electron transport layer (ETL), a plurality of buried contacts, a p-type Si layer, a p-type wafer-based homo-junction silicon solar cell, a n+ silicon layer, a back contact layer. The solar cell further includes a top sub-cell, a bottom sub-cell and a middle contact-based tandem. The top sub-cell includes the PVT layer. The bottom sub-cell includes the silicon solar cell. The middle contact-based tandem includes the second TCO layer to be used as the middle contact-based tandem, as well as a recombination layer for current collection. Further, a conduction and a valence band edge are employed at a front surface of the ETL.

摘要: A perovskite-silicon tandem cell capable of absorbing solar radiation with energy lower than that of 1.12 eV, i.e., the bandgap of crystalline silicon—corresponding to the wavelength of 1100 nm. Ho3+ can absorb photons of wavelength range 1120 to 1190 nm, Tm3+, 1190 to 1260 nm, and Er3+, 1145 to 1580 nm, but up-conversion can be achieved using Ho3+, Tm3+, and Er3+-doped metal oxide, such as ZrO2, in perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. Doped metal oxides, such as ZrO2 can also work as selective contacts. Such perovskite-silicon tandem structures can achieve over 30% solar energy conversion efficiency.

摘要: An electrochromic energy storage device is described. An electrochromic energy storage device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, an electrolyte present between the first substrate and the second substrate. The device further includes nickel oxide (NiO) nano-sheets that at least partially cover a first side of the first substrate. Further, the NiO nano-sheets are comprised of interconnected nanoflakes, where the nanoflakes have a width of 5-29 nanometers (nm). A method of preparing the NiO nano-sheets is also described.

摘要: A method for synthesizing carbon quantum dots (CQDs) including reacting a mixture of macroalgae and ethanol hydrothermally in an autoclave at a reaction temperature between 150 degrees Celsius (° C.) and 250° C. to form a suspension. The method further includes separating the CQDs from the suspension. The CQDs have a size of 1 to 5 nanometers (nm). The CQDs have a Stokes shift of at least 80 nm at an excitation wavelength of 270-410 nm.
