Abstract: A multiple cation-doped perovskite compound includes a perovskite represented by a formula of ABX3. A includes M1, M2, and M3. M1 represents a cation different from M2 and M3; M2 represents a cesium ion and M3 represents a formamidinium ion. B represents a divalent cation different from M1, M2, and M3. X includes at least two different halide ions. In addition, the perovskite compound is free from methylamine ion. A perovskite solar cell including the multiple cation-doped perovskite compound is also provided.

Abstract: Polymer transport materials for application in perovskite solar cells capable of being tuned or manipulated to achieve desired properties, are provided herein. The present disclosure is directed to methods, systems, and compositions for achieving polymer transport materials (i.e., hole transport materials (HTMs)) with desirable properties such as solution processability, energy level tuning (i.e., adjusting), high thermal properties, tunable (i.e., adjustable) wettability, and perovskite defect passivation. In some aspects of the present disclosure, the synthesis of such HTMs may be implemented via relatively simple and inexpensive processes.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method for producing films of semiconducting material based on the organic-inorganic metal-halide compounds with perovskite-like structure, which can be used as a light-absorbing layer in solar cells, including thin-film, flexible and tandem solar cells, as well as can be applied for optoelectronic devices, in particular, light emitting diodes. The method is comprising the following steps: (a) applying a layer of a precursor, (b) applying a layer of composite reagent, and (c) treatment of the applied layers by the reagent X2 wherein the composite reagent applied in the step b) contains a mixture of AX and X2 reagents, and the film obtained after the step b) contains the seeds of the phase with a perovskite-like structure; the reagent AX is a salt comprising cation A+ and anion X−, and the anion X− is a singly charged anion; the reagent X2 is a molecular halogen.

Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing solar cell degradation are provided. The methods and systems related to frequently applying large reverse bias current-voltage (J-V) sweeps to the cell to reduce the rates of internal degradation of the solar cells. The frequent sweeps serve to detrap charge carriers formed in the cell due to photo-oxidative damage. This detrapping reduces the rate of power conversion efficiency (PCE) degradation throughout the life of the solar cell.

Abstract: A preparation method of perovskite film based on semicarbazide hydrochloride (SEM-HCl) additive and a preparation method of photovoltaic device are provided, a perovskite optimized crystallization strategy is provided, a tin-based perovskite thin film is prepared based on a solution method, and a purpose of regulating and controlling perovskite crystallization is achieved by means of a cross-linking effect of special groups in SEM-HCl and perovskite components. Defects of crystals of the prepared perovskite film are reduced, the non-radiative recombination in a transmission process of carriers is suppressed, and a photoelectric conversion efficiency and a photovoltaic device stability are remarkably improved.
