Abstract: A cache coherence system manages both internode and intranode cache coherence in a cluster of nodes. Each node in the cluster of nodes is either a collection of processors running an intranode coherence protocol between themselves, or a single processor. A node comprises a plurality of coherence ordering units (COUs) that are hardware circuits configured to manage intranode coherence of caches within the node and/or internode coherence with caches on other nodes in the cluster. Each node contains one or more directories which tracks the state of cache line entries managed by the particular node. Each node may also contain one or more scoreboards for managing the status of ongoing transactions. The internode cache coherence protocol implemented in the COUs may be used to detect and resolve communications errors, such as dropped message packets between nodes, late message delivery at a node, or node failure. Additionally, a transport layer manages communication between the nodes in the cluster, and can additionally be used to detect and resolve communications errors.

Abstract: A cache management system performs cache management in a Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) key value data store. The cache management system receives a request from at least one client configured to access a data item stored in a data location of a remote server, and determines a popularity of the data item based on a frequency at which the data location is accessed by the at least one client. The system is further configured to determine a lease period of the data item based on the frequency and assigning the lease period to the data location.

Abstract: Example devices are disclosed. For example, a device may include a processor, a plurality of translation lookaside buffers, a plurality of switches, and a memory management unit. Each of the translation lookaside buffers may be assigned to a different process of the processor, each of the plurality of switches may include a register for storing a different process identifier, and each of the plurality of switches may be associated with a different one of the translation lookaside buffer buffers. The memory management unit may be for receiving a virtual memory address and a process identifier from the processor and forwarding the process identifier to the plurality of switches. Each of the plurality of switches may be for connecting the memory management unit to a translation associated with the switch when there is a match between the process identifier and the different process identifier stored by the register of the switch.

Abstract: Embodiments that are described herein provide improved methods and systems for analyzing network traffic. The disclosed embodiments enable an analytics system to perform complex processing to only new, first occurrences of received content, while refraining from processing duplicate instances of that content. In an embodiment, the analytics results regarding the first occurring content are reported and cached in association with the content. For any duplicate instance of the content, the analytics results are retrieved from the cache without re-processing of the duplicate content. When using the disclosed techniques, the system still processes all first occurring content but not duplicate instances of content that was previously received and processed. In the embodiments described herein, input data comprises communication packets exchanged in a communication network.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for pathing analysis are provided. The method includes receiving at a server, a query comprising one or more nodes. The method further includes identifying one or more prior queries, wherein the one or more prior queries comprise at least one of the one or more nodes. The method accesses metadata associated with the one or more prior queries. The method then selects based on the metadata, one or more data partitions for further processing. Next, the method causes one or more computers to identify one or more paths in the selected data partitions, wherein the one or more paths comprise at least the one or more nodes. Finally, the method presents the identified paths as an output to the query.
