The method may also comprise placing the bagged assembly in an autoclave. The method may further comprise subjecting the bagged assembly to a pressure and a temperature for a determined amount of time. In this regard, the back skin, the core, and the top skin may be co-cured in a single autoclave pressurization and heating operation.

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing vacuum insulation panels with a fiber core, comprising the steps of: providing a core blank of fibers, compressing the core blank to a predetermined final thickness for forming the core, evacuating a foil sleeve enclosing the core up to a pressure of ≦1 mbar, and sealing the foil sleeve. The method according to the invention is characterized by the fact that, in the compression step, the core blank is arranged between two cover elements and is mechanically compressed therebetween, that the core is kept under compression pressure until the foil sleeve is sealed, and that the compression step is performed at the place of manufacture at room temperature without thermal impact. Thus, a method for manufacturing vacuum insulation panels with a fiber core can be improved such that it can be performed with reduced energy requirement and yet the insulating effect of the vacuum insulation panels does not suffer therefrom.

A print-on area forms one side of the transparent film, the print-on area adapted to receive indicia identifying the cable about which the marker label is applied. A perforation extends across the transparent film providing a line of separation of the transparent film. When wrapped around a cable, the second adhesive area overlies the print-on area such that the cable identifying indicia is visible through the transparent second adhesive area. As the transparent film is wrapped around the cable, the first adhesive area adheres to the cable. The remainder of the transparent film is rotated, breaking the perforation, whereby the smooth area of the film in contact with the cable provides smooth rotation of the label around the cable.
