Abstract: An electrode sheet rewinding apparatus for rewinding an electrode sheet includes a bobbin having a PET film wound therearound, a bobbin holder configured to hold the bobbin, a base plate located under the bobbin holder and configured to support the bobbin holder, a roller type touch roll configured to press an electrode sheet rewound around the bobbin above the bobbin to prevent meandering of the electrode sheet, a vertical plate located at one side of the base plate, the touch roll attached to the vertical plate, and an idle roller unit configured to form a tangential line to the electrode sheet rewound around the bobbin together with the touch roll. The idle roller unit includes an idle roller configured to maintain tension of the electrode sheet and to form a tangential line to the electrode sheet and two driving mechanisms configured to change the position of the idle roller.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to form tear-off paperband composites that adhesively attach a paper web to an empty web spool. In some embodiments, the paperband composite is applied in several layers to an empty web spool, each layer suitable for fixedly attaching a paper web to the empty spool. Multiple layers of paperband composite allow for use during multiple turn-up procedures with one layer of paperband composite used per turn-up procedure. In some examples, the paperband composite may be applied to a paper spool tangentially along the spool face and perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the spool. In other examples, the paperband composite may be spirally wrapped around the paper spool.

Abstract: A measuring device is releasably received within a winding core of a customer roll wound on a slitter-winder (10). The measuring device (20) is releasably fastened within the winding core by fastening element(s) (21) securing the device to the winding core (10) for rotation during winding of the fiber web around the winding core to form the customer roll. Eccentricity of the customer roll as it is wound is determined from movement, speed and/or acceleration data received from at least two sensors of the measuring device and data is stored for use in unwinding the fiber web from the customer roll and serving as control information. Tension variations in unwinding can thus be anticipated and premeditative steps taken to ensure smooth running of the fiber web in unwinding in further processing.

In a case where a conveyance operation for conveying the base material is stopped based on detection of a foreign object, and when a speed of the first drive motor is at a predetermined value or less, the control unit stops the tension control performed by the second drive motor.

Abstract: A kit for dispensing disposable stethoscope covers is provided. The kit may include a cartridge and a dispenser for automatic touch-free dispensing of disposable stethoscope covers. The kit further includes a first spool having a roll of backing member with disposable stethoscope covers disposed thereon and a second spool for receiving the spent backing member after a disposable stethoscope cover has been removed, self-contained within the cartridge. The cartridge is inserted within the dispenser so that a user may insert a stethoscope head through a window of the dispenser to attach to a disposable stethoscope cover. The kit may further include a proximity sensor for detecting a user. Upon detection of the user, the first and second spools rotate to align a disposable stethoscope cover with the window of the dispenser in a ready-to dispense position.
