Abstract:
An architectural covering and a method of manufacturing the covering is provided. The panel may include multiple strips of material extending lengthwise across a width dimension of the panel. The strips of material may be overlapped and coupled to one another to define cells between adjacent strips of material. The panel may be retracted and extended across an architectural opening, and the strips of material may include a resilient support member to expand the cells as the panel is extended across the architectural opening. The panel may be manufactured by helically winding a continuous, elongate strip of material about a drum in an overlapped manner.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide an interlayer film for a laminated glass, which can exhibit high deaeration properties during preliminary pressure bonding and enables production of a highly transparent laminated glass, a roll, a laminated glass, a method for producing the interlayer film for a laminated glass, and a method for producing the roll. The present invention relates to an interlayer film for a laminated glass, having a large number of recesses and a large number of projections on at least one surface, the interlayer film for a laminated glass having a thickness with a difference between a maximum thickness and a minimum thickness of less than 40 μm at each of a central portion, one end portion, and an other end portion in a width direction that is orthogonal, in the same plane, to a machine direction of the film in production of the interlayer film for a laminated glass, the thickness being measured along 3 m in the machine direction of the film in production of the interlayer film for a laminated glass at the central portion, the one end portion, and the other end portion in the width direction.
Abstract:
A method for the production of sealing tape rolls of flexible, compressed foam with at least one barrier layer extending in a radial direction thereof, the barrier layer arranged axially between two layers of the foam, comprises the following steps: providing a foam web of flexible foam; introducing at least one cut into the foam web in a longitudinal direction thereof to form parallel foam strips; introducing film strips, adhesive tape strips, and/or an adhesive liquid medium into the intermediate spaces between each pair of adjacent foam strips produced by the cuts; bonding all of the foam strips together to produce a foam-barrier layer web; winding up the foam-barrier layer web into an intermediate roll; and cutting the intermediate roll at one or more points in an axial direction thereof to produce a plurality of sealing tape rolls, which are less wide than the intermediate roll.
Abstract:
Provided is a winding apparatus that is provided with a splitter that splits radiant light from a light source unit into measurement light applied to a side face part of a first sheet and a second sheet and reference light applied to a reference surface, an interference detector that detects interference light formed by interference between the reference light reflected by the reference surface and the measurement light reflected by the side face part, a position detector that detects the position of the first sheet and the position of the second sheet on the basis of the detected interference light, and a decision processor that decides the quality of the wound body on the basis of the detected positions of the first sheet and the second sheet.
Abstract:
A glass film conveying device in which a glass film is properly cooled to suppress breakage when the glass film is placed on a protective film and taken up is provided. A glass film conveying device (100) that continuously conveys a long glass film includes a feeding unit (2) that feeds a glass film from a roll, a glass film conveying unit (3) that conveys the glass film fed from the feeding unit (2), a take-up unit (4) that takes up the glass film conveyed by the glass film conveying unit (3) in a roll shape while laminating the glass film and a protective film R2, and a laminating roller (12) provided in front of the take-up unit (4). A surface temperature of the laminating roller (12) is higher than a temperature of the protective film. The temperature of the protective film is increased, so that evaporation of a volatile component contained in the protective film is promoted. The evaporated volatile component is accumulated between the laminating roller (12) and the protective film and between the protective film and the glass film so as to function as a heat transfer medium and properly lower a temperature of the glass film.
Abstract:
A roll (10) of glass ribbon (20) and an interleaf material (40) disposed in alternating layers, wherein a layer of the interleaf material is pinned to an adjacent layer of the glass ribbon by an electrostatic force that is of a value so that a shear force required to cause slip between the interleaf material and the glass ribbon is greater than or equal to 10 times that required to cause slip between them when not electrostatically pinned together. Methods for winding and unwinding the roll, as well as an apparatus for winding the glass ribbon and interleaf material into a roll, are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a composite core can include: wrapping a mandrel in a mandrel wrapping process by securing a mandrel with a winding jig; orienting the composite material at a wrap angle to the mandrel; and depositing the composite material around a circumference of the mandrel. The method can further include assembling the wrapped mandrels in a tool and applying a pressure to the composite material during a curing cycle.
