Abstract: A reel body is the reel body in which an adhesive film having an adhesive layer on a base material layer is wound around a winding core. The adhesive film does not have a protective layer on the adhesive layer and is wound around the winding core in a state in which the adhesive layer and the base material layer are contiguous to each other in the radial direction of the winding core. A width of the winding core in an axial direction is smaller than a width of the adhesive film. In a rolled body of the adhesive film, an overhang portion jutting out in the axial direction of the winding core is provided.

Abstract: A core for winding sheet material is proved. The core comprises a cylindrical tube having a longitudinally oriented slot formed therein, and a strip of soft material located in the slot. Because of the geometry of the slot and the strip, the strip may be softer (less compressed) in the central region but firmer where the core transitions from the relatively soft strip to the relatively hard tube. The leading edge of the sheet material imbeds itself into the soft central region of the strip as additional layers are wound around the core.

Abstract: A ribbon cord containment and identifying adaptor can be adaptively anchored or fixed to or removed from a ribbon type cord or ribbon cord of a set of earphones by hand via an anchor slot of the adaptor. The anchor slot can have a frame or structure that has an entrapment chamber and a path leading to a cord entrapment chamber where the entrapment chamber is slanted with respect to the path leading to the entrapment chamber. The structure of the entrapment chamber and path help anchor the adaptor on the ribbon type cord segment to prevent inadvertent dislodgement of the adaptor from the cord segment. The structure of the anchor slot is rigid and serves to firmly grip or compress cord segments positioned between gapped-apart opposing sidewalls within the anchor slot. When a cord containment adaptor is anchored via the anchor slot, ribbon type cord segments can be gripped into slots in a manner that helps prevent the adopter from dislodging from the ribbon cord. When positioned on cord segments, the adaptors can serve as identifying objects or adaptors.

Abstract: Provided is a wound body formed by winding a long sheet. The wound body is supportable by a support shaft. The support shaft includes a cylindrical outer peripheral part that includes a first projection located at a proximal end and a second projection located at a distal end, and includes an inner peripheral part that includes a first recess part located at the one end and recessing outward in the radial direction and a second recess part located to extend from the one end to the other end and recessing outward in the radial direction. A recessing amount of the second recess part is smaller than that of the first recess part. The support shaft and the core body are integrally rotatable around the central axis by engagement of the first projection with the first recess part in a state where the core body is mounted on the outer periphery of the support shaft. The circumferential position of the first projection around the central axis is aligned with the circumferential position of the first recess part around the central axis by engagement of the second projection with the second recess part when the core body is mounted on the outer periphery of the support shaft.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tubular core on which sheets of metal or other material can be wound and supported, for shipment, handling and dispersal, and a method for forming the core. The core comprises a metal sheet or strip which has a rectangular-ribbed cross-sectional profile comprising rectangular, flat ribs, and which is wound spirally into a tubular configuration. The core is formed by passing the strip through a plurality of roll-forming stands, to progressively form sections of the ribs and progressively define the sections into the rectangular ribbed profile in which the flat ribs collectively form a support surface for the sheets which are to be wound on the core.
