    摘要: A valvetrain for translating force and oil between a valve and intermediate member of an engine, including a rocker, a shaft, and a recess. The rocker has an inner surface, a pad for engaging the valve, a socket for engaging the intermediate member, a socket port defined in the surface, and a socket channel extending from the socket port to the socket. The shaft has a bearing surface for supporting the rocker, a channel spaced from the bearing surface, a feed port in the bearing surface, and a feed channel extending from the feed port to the channel. The rocker rotates between: closed, with the socket port and feed port aligned; and open, with the socket port spaced from the feed port. A recess is disposed in the bearing surface adjacent to the feed port and extends to a base aligned with the socket port when the rocker is open.

A gaseous fuel source is fluidly coupled to the transmission via a flow control valve and the transmission, in turn, is fluidly coupled to an air inflow line of the PCV system.     摘要: An oil supply system for a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine is disclosed in which the supply of oil to piston cooling jets is controlled by pressure operated valves designed to open at a pre-defined valve opening pressure. The pressure of oil supplied by a pump is controlled to be below this pre-defined valve opening pressure during operation of the engine in which piston cooling is not required, and the pressure of oil is controlled to above the pre-defined valve opening pressure when piston cooling is required. The control of the pump is by an electronic control unit based upon a combination of engine speed and engine load.

    摘要: An internal combustion includes a crankshaft and a camshaft rotatable by the crankshaft. The internal combustion engine also includes an oil source, an engine cover, and a drive member disposed within the engine cover for transferring rotational motion from the crankshaft to the camshaft. A camshaft phaser actuated by an electric motor is disposed within the engine cover for controllably varying the phase relationship between the crankshaft and the camshaft. A supply passage communicates oil from the oil source to the camshaft phaser in order to lubricate the camshaft phaser and a drain passage drains oil from the camshaft phaser to the oil source. A sealing arrangement defines a dry zone within the engine cover to isolate the drive member from oil used to lubricate the camshaft phaser.

    摘要: An oil control valve assembly for an engine is provided that has a control valve with a valve body, and a manifold that defines a control passage in fluid communication with a valve lift switching component and an exhaust passage for exhausting fluid from the valve. The control valve is controllable to selectively direct fluid from a supply source to the control passage to actuate the valve lift switching component. An elongated tubular member is positioned adjacent the engine component and is operatively connected to the exhaust passage such that fluid flows from the exhaust passage to the elongated tubular member and through the elongated tubular member onto the engine component.
