    摘要: An ultrasonic welding device includes a sonotrode emitting vibratory energy and an anvil having a work face cooperating with the sonotrode for supporting a workpiece positioned for welding between the sonotrode and the anvil. The anvil has a housing and a plurality of laminae individually shiftably supported in the housing in a face-to-face relationship for forming a lamina stack. Each lamina has an edge face at a side of the lamina stack; the edge faces together constitute the work face of the anvil. There is also provided a force exerting arrangement for imparting individually to each lamina a force oriented towards the sonotrode for individually urging each lamina outwardly of the housing in the direction toward the sonotrode.

    摘要: A belt press has a plurality of upper and a plurality of lower traverses respectively having lower and upper traverse faces, upper and lower press platens carried on and between these traverses and having respective upper and lower platen faces respectively confronting the lower and upper traverse faces, and mechanically actuated bolts engaged between the traverses for displacing them toward each other and thereby pressing the platens against a belt engaged between them. The belt press also has at least one bend-compensating element having a pair of nonparallel upper and lower surfaces and engaged between one of the platen faces and the confronting traverse faces, and a hydraulic force transmitter engaged between this bend-compensating element and one of the respective press and platen faces. The transmitter is formed of a plurality of diametrally compressible but circumferentially unstretchable hydraulic hoses forming at least one substantially closed chamber of a predetermined maximum volume, and of a body of an incompressible fluid only partially filling this chamber.

A first slot extends into the base body from a first narrow lateral surface, and a second slot, which is offset vertically from the first slot, extends into the base body from a second narrow lateral surface, in such a way that the two slots define a section of the base body which has substantially the shape of an S or reversed S. Each of the two slots expands at its inner end to form a bore.

    摘要: A method for fabricating a rigid lamination. The method includes providing a first rigid substrate, disposing an adhesive on a surface of the first rigid substrate and disposing a second rigid substrate on at least a portion of the adhesive. The second rigid substrate has a first end and a second end. The second rigid substrate is heated to a substantially uniform temperature, where the temperature is sufficient to melt the adhesive. A non-uniform pressure is applied to a surface of the second rigid substrate. The non-uniform pressure includes a lesser pressure and a greater pressure, where the greater pressure is applied at the first end of the second rigid substrate and is sufficient to impart adhesive flow in a direction toward the second end. The pressure is controllably increased along at least a portion of the surface between the first end and the second end, where the increase is controlled to drive the adhesive flow in the direction toward the second end until the pressure applied is substantially uniform across the surface and the adhesive between the first rigid substrate and the second rigid substrate is substantially free of entrained gas bubbles. The adhesive is cooled to form a rigid lamination having adhesive substantially free of entrained gas bubbles.
