摘要: A system for laminating an adhesive to a component includes a liner including a first major surface facing the component and a second major surface opposite to the first major surface. An adhesive is disposed on the first major surface. The adhesive is configured to be laminated to the component. A support pad engages the second major surface of the liner for laminating the adhesive to the component. Each of the support pad and the liner undergoes deformation upon engagement of the support pad with the liner. The support pad includes a body made of an elastic pad material and includes an upper surface facing the component, a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, and a lateral surface disposed between the upper surface and the lower surface. The liner includes a conformable liner material having a liner elastic modulus from about 5 megapascals (MPa) to about 650 MPa.

摘要: An overlay applicator tray including a cradle including a device slot. The device slot is configured to securely hold an electronic device in the cradle. The overlay applicator tray also can include an overlay applicator. The overlay applicator can include an overlay layer and an adhesive release liner. The overlay layer can include a top side and a bottom side. The bottom side is configured to be adhered to a screen of the electronic device. The adhesive release liner is removably attached to the bottom side of the overlay layer. The overlay applicator tray additionally can include an alignment piece coupling the cradle to the overlay applicator. The alignment piece aligns the overlay layer of the overlay applicator with the screen as the overlay layer is applied to the screen when the electronic device is securely held in the device slot. The overlay applicator tray further can include a first pull tab on the adhesive release liner. The first pull tab is configured to be pulled to remove the adhesive release liner from the bottom side of the overlay layer and expose an adhesive of the overlay layer. 摘要: A method of producing a laminated body is provided in which, while a carrier A is wound off from a bobbin, an adhesive is applied to both facing ends thereof and a metal foil B is laid on and bonded to a side to which the adhesive was applied. The obtained laminated body is subsequently cut, a plurality of the cut laminated bodies are aligned in a stack, a roller is applied from the top of the stack when the elevation of the center of the stack becomes high to vent air existing between and within the laminated bodies. After the air vent process, the adhesive hardens to mutually bond the carrier to the metal foil of each laminated body. Accordingly, a carrier-attached copper foil that provides improvements in handling ability in the production process of a printed board and cost reduction based on improved production yield.

摘要: A method for bonding infrared transmitting glasses into an optical element without interlayer voids by stacking at least two different infrared transmitting glasses inside a vessel where each glass has a different refractive index, a different dispersion, or both, and where the glasses all have similar viscosities, thermal expansion coefficients, and glass transition temperatures; placing a weight on top of the stack; applying a vacuum to the vessel; applying an isostatic pressure of at least 1500 psi; and after releasing the isostatic pressure, annealing at a temperature within 10° C. of the glass transition temperature at a pressure between 0 and 1000 psi. Applying the vacuum, applying the isostatic pressure, and annealing are done sequentially and with no intermediate transitions to ambient temperature or pressure. Also disclosed is the related optical element made by this method.
