摘要: An object is to move a rail molecule by means of a biomolecular motor deposited on a base and inactivate the biomolecular motor through irradiation with light having a predetermined wavelength, to thereby readily and reliably fix the rail molecule at a predetermined position, while orienting the rail molecule in a predetermined direction without employment of any reagent. A method for fixing a rail molecule which has polarity and on which a biomolecular motor moves in a direction corresponding to the polarity includes depositing a biomolecular motor on a base; moving a rail molecule by means of the biomolecular motor; and inactivating the biomolecular motor by irradiating the biomolecular motor with light having a predetermined wavelength when the rail molecule reaches a predetermined position, to thereby fix the rail molecule so that it is oriented in a predetermined direction.

摘要: A method for fabricating a microarray of plural soft materials includes: vapor-depositing a first layer poly(para-xylylene) resin on a substrate, forming a first micro pattern in the poly(para-xylylene) resin; obtaining a substrate including a first microarray formed by pouring a first soft material solution, freeze-drying the first soft material to obtain a micro-arrayed substrate of the freeze-dried first soft material; vapor-depositing a second layer poly(para-xylylene) resin on the micro-arrayed substrate of the freeze-dried first soft material, forming a second micro pattern placed differently from the first micro pattern by penetrating the poly(para-xylylene) resin of the first and second layers, forming a second microarray on the substrate by pouring a second soft material solution; and forming a microarray of the first and second soft materials on the substrate by peeling off the poly(para-xylylene) resin of the first and second layers.

摘要: An ice-candy forming container is provided which produces ice-candies having a complicated shape copying the face of a cartoon character or the like with higher quality and without a loss in shape. A forming container includes a first mold having a pattern portion formed in one face thereof, and a second mold configured to slide over and along the one face of the first mold, in a close contact relation, in directions designated by arrows A1-A2, so as to contain the first mold therein. In such a containing position, the second mold contacts externally and closely substantially an entire surface of the outer periphery of the pattern portion.

摘要: The present invention provides a simple and an accurate method of forming a bilayer membrane by the contact of amphipathic monolayers and an apparatus therefor. The method is characterized in that the organic solvent (2) containing lipid molecules is introduced into a first microchannel (1) formed on a substrate (5). A liquid (4) immiscible with the organic solvent (2) containing lipid molecules is introduced into a second microchannel (3), which crosses the first microchannel (1) from both sides to form an intersection, from both ends of the second microchannel (3) toward the intersection. Amphipathic monolayers (2A) opposing each other are formed at the interfaces between the liquid (4) and the organic solvent (2), and finally a lipid bilayer membrane (2B) is obtained by bringing the amphipathic monolayers (2A) into contact and fusing, by the contact of the interfaces of the liquid (4) introduced from the both ends of the second microchannel (3) with the control of the pressure of the liquid (4) using syringe pumps.

摘要: A self-contained photoconductive belt assembly for a printer or a copier is disclosed. The self-contained photoconductive belt assembly is in the form of a cartridge or cassette, comprising a frame, first and second parallel rollers within the frame, and an endless photoconductive belt looped about and rotating with the rollers. The cassette also includes a charging unit and mounting means for detachably mounting the cassette within the printer or cassette. Desirably, the cassette also contains a photosensor for detecting the seam in the photoconductive belt. Desirably also, the cassette is slidably mounted within the housing of the printer or copier in a vertical orientation.
