    摘要: An image bearing member includes an agitation member and a sheet member. A sheet portion of an agitation member comes into contact with a second side surface of the blade member. When viewed from a rotation axis direction of a shaft portion of the agitation member, an imaginary line A connects a position of an end portion on a most upstream side of the second side surface in the rotation direction and an axial center position of the shaft portion, and an imaginary line B is orthogonal to the imaginary line A and passes through the position of the end portion on the most upstream side of the second side surface, and the free end of the sheet member is disposed at a position closer to the blade member than a position where a second line intersects with an outer circumferential surface of the image bearing member.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a light emitting element array, a photosensitive member, a transparent member, a gap spacer, and a biasing member. The light emitting element array includes a plurality of light emitting elements. The photosensitive member forms a latent image by being exposed by light emitted from the light emitting element array. The transparent member is positioned between the photosensitive member and the light emitting element array. The transparent member has a relative position fixed with respect to the light emitting element array, and transmits the light emitted from the light emitting element array. The gap spacer keeps a distance between the photosensitive member and the transparent member constant. The biasing member biases the transparent member toward the photosensitive member.

    摘要: An exposure device includes a polygon motor, an fθ lens, and a heat-insulating room. The polygon motor is driven into rotation while producing heat, which makes it likely that the temperature of a portion of the fθ lens near a housing right wall becomes lower than that of a portion of the fθ lens near a housing left wall. The exposure device further includes a recess located above the fθ lens and extended in a right-and-left direction. The heat-insulating room is formed by disposing a plate above the portion of the fθ lens near the housing right wall to cover the recess. Thus, the plate restricts upward heat release from the portion of the fθ lens near the housing right wall.

In a state in which the original is moved, light adjusted by a light-adjusting filter is transmitted through a light-attenuating filter and then is illuminated onto the original. The light-attenuating filter is moved and a transmission region on the regions 54A1, 54A2, 54A3, . . . of light illuminated onto the original is adjusted, so that an amount of light illuminated onto the original becomes an amount of light corresponding to exposure conditions. When the amount of light corresponding to the exposure conditions is the minimum amount of light, the light-attenuating filter is moved so that light illuminated onto the original is transmitted through the region 54B. Light transmitted through the moving original is transmitted through a slit to form slit light, and the slit light is imaged onto the photosensitive material by a zoom lens.
