Abstract:
A product packaging system comprises a plurality of product sources (2, 4, 6) delivering product to a final collating and packaging line (10). The output from each machine is delivered by separate conveying means (8) delivering the products directly into a collating conveyor (20) which in turn delivers the collated products to a packaging line. The collating conveyor comprising an endless conveyor carrying a plurality of compartments, each compartment receiving from said conveying means products to be packaged. The compartments are configured to enable their sizes to be changed, and the endless conveyor comprises a track arranged in a vertical loop and a plurality of product supporting members mounted for movement along the track, each supporting member being driven along the track and controllable independently of the other supporting members.
Abstract:
A tray loading packaging machine that carries out a method for filling a multi-row packaging tray with piece-form products at a high performance level, having the following steps: dividing up a single-row stream of piece-form products onto a plurality of lanes arranged substantially parallel to one another in order to convey the products further; synchronizing the individual streams of products on the plurality or lanes with one another such that in each case one product from one lane can be transferred to the packaging tray substantially at the same time as in each case one product from the other lanes; and transferring the produces to the packaging tray, wherein in each case one product from one lane is transferred to one row of the packaging tray.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatic pill counting and packaging apparatus which may automatically count and package pills into a pouch having a sealable inlet. The automatic pill counting and packaging apparatus includes a bottom transfer part for supplying a pouch, a top transfer part disposed at an upper portion of the bottom transfer part for supplying pills, a counting part for counting the pills supplied by the top transfer part, and a packing part for inputting and packing the pills supplied by the top transfer part into the pouch supplied by the bottom transfer part.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a product stand-up device (10) for standing up products (11) of a plurality of product columns (20) in stack rows (30), which are each associated with a product column (20), comprising a feeding unit (13) for products (11) lying flat, which feeding unit is common to the plurality of product columns (20), and/or a removal transport unit (16) for products (11) stood up in stack rows (30), at least one erecting path (12) for erecting the products (11) of at least one product column (20), and a plurality of shifting elements (21), which are each associated with a stack row (30) and are provided for producing an accommodating gap for lining up a following product (11) of the particular product column (20). According to the invention each shifting element (21) has a separately controllable driving means (22).

Abstract:
Provided is a medicine filling apparatus used for filling a medicine container with solid medicines, including: a medicine housing unit configured to house the medicines and having a plurality of medicine outlets configured to eject the housed medicines; a rotor located within the medicine housing unit, having a plurality of temporary medicine housing units configured to temporarily house the medicines, and configured to move the medicines housed in the plurality of temporary medicine housing units to the plurality of medicine outlets by rotating; and a drive unit configured to rotationally drive the rotor, wherein when at least one of the temporary medicine housing units coincides with at least one of the medicine outlets so that the medicines can be ejected, the temporary medicine housing units and the medicine outlets that are not in coincidence with each other are shifted by an angle such that the medicines cannot be ejected.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a drug cassette having a compact configuration which allows for drugs to be fed out one at a time using a first rotating body and a second rotating body, and also provide a drug packaging device. The following are arranged within a cassette main body of said drug cassette: a cylindrical body that accommodates the drugs; a first rotating body that is disposed on a bottom surface side of the cylindrical body, the first rotating body being rotatable around a first rotating shaft; and a second rotating body that is disposed on an outer periphery of an opening in the cylindrical body, the second rotating body being rotatable around a second rotating shaft. At least one drive unit, disposed in a remaining space within the cassette main body, to rotate and drive the first rotating body and the second rotating body.
Abstract:
A packaging apparatus includes a packaging unit and two heater rollers. The packaging unit installs a stretch film on an article to be packaged and discharges the article to be packaged installed with the stretch film along a conveyance surface. The two heater rollers heat the stretch film positioned below the article to be packaged discharged from the packaging unit. The heater rollers have contact portions with the article to be packaged positioned higher than the conveyance surface. Among the two heater rollers, height of the contact portion of one heater roller on a upstream side in a discharge direction relative to the conveyance surface is lower than height of the contact portion of the other heater roller on a downstream side in the discharge direction relative to the conveyance surface.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an upstream and a downstream process wherein the upstream process conditions a stream of product delivered to the downstream process is provided. The control method uses an empirically determined formula to determine a metric for adjusting the activity of the upstream process to thereby adjust the rate with which the upstream process conditions and feeds a stream of conditioned product to the downstream process. The empirically determined formula determines the metric using two input variables: a duty cycle setting of the upstream process and an output rate of the downstream process expressed as a decimal amount of the output rate set-point.
Abstract:
A system for packaging unit doses of medication. One pill packaging system comprises a feeding assembly, a pill packaging assembly, and a pill guide. The pill guide may be positioned between the feeding assembly and packaging assembly and comprise a body having inlet and outlet apertures, whereby a pill traveling through the pill guide exits the outlet aperture oriented such that a leading edge of the pill points toward one side of the pill package and the trailing edge of the pill is inclined toward an opposite side of the pill package. Another pill packaging system comprises a pill feeding assembly comprising a pill disk with circumferentially positioned pill slots, a pill packaging assembly, and a sensor, such as a camera, to determine whether more than one pill is positioned in a pill slot on the pill disk.
