Abstract:
Described herein is a wrapper (1) for food products, in particular confectionary products, comprising—a wrapping sheet shaped so as to define a curved portion (2) within which a product is housed;—a tear strip (6) applied on an inner side of said sheet, and—an adhesive label (16) applied on the outer side of said curved portion (2) and on one end of said tear strip (6). The adhesive label (16) provides hermetic closing of the wrapper which is provided with a cut (12) at said one end of the tear strip (6) and at the same time comes to constitute, together with the tear strip (6) the means for opening the wrapper.
Abstract:
A packaging apparatus includes a packaging unit and two heater rollers. The packaging unit installs a stretch film on an article to be packaged and discharges the article to be packaged installed with the stretch film along a conveyance surface. The two heater rollers heat the stretch film positioned below the article to be packaged discharged from the packaging unit. The heater rollers have contact portions with the article to be packaged positioned higher than the conveyance surface. Among the two heater rollers, height of the contact portion of one heater roller on a upstream side in a discharge direction relative to the conveyance surface is lower than height of the contact portion of the other heater roller on a downstream side in the discharge direction relative to the conveyance surface.
Abstract:
A wine bottle wrap for promoting the contents of the bottle, the brand, or the entity that produced or is presenting the bottle for sale. The wine bottle wrap is generally made of paper, sized and shaped to be easily wrapped around a bottle, such as a wine bottle. The paper will include printed words and drawings or other images that can both identify the contents of the bottle and provide other marketing material. In a preferred embodiment, at least some of the bottle is visible in a gap in the wrap, preferably at the bottom of the bottle.
Abstract:
An ice cream sandwich apparatus for making and wrapping ice cream sandwiches. The ice cream sandwich apparatus includes a plurality of stations driven by servo motors.
Abstract:
A packaging device forming a container, comprising a formable rigid structural element (6) joined to a sheet of flexible material (3) provided at the periphery with means for retaining a clamping tie (4). The rigid structural element (6) has a first part (5) which comprises a multiplicity of radial branches (50), which are made of flexible material, and a second part (7) made of rigid material, which has at its periphery radial arms (71), which are designed to define the shape and the volume of the container and which each have an end part which diverges from the plane of a central planar part (70) by flaring. The first and second parts (5, 7) are provided with means (53) for securing to one another such that they are coaxial with one another and such that the branches (50) are in line with the arms (71); while at one of the faces the flexible sheet (3) is secured to the first part (5) by its face opposite the face intended to accommodate the second part (7).
Abstract:
A method for wrapping a product in a sheet material wrapper employing a first sheet of plastically deformable sheet material (for example aluminium) and a second sheet of wrapping material (for example a plastic film) having springback. Once the product is placed on the first sheet, the second sheet is applied on the product providing in the second sheet a part wrapping the product and a part facing the first sheet. The first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it are airtight-seal coupled so to form, by effect of the coupling, a plastically deformable composite sheet material against the product or to form an integral housing cup.
Abstract:
The invention provides an improved package wrapping machine which produces a wrapped product having a good seal and a favorable appearance for packages of varying sizes and shapes. More particularly, these improvements are obtained by utilizing a novel film gripper having sections that are separately disengageable to release tension on lateral sections of the film web during the wrapping of smaller than average packages, thereby preventing unwanted stretching of the film so as to promote a good seal for the packaged goods and avoid the formation of unsightly film tails. Also in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a novel package pusher is utilized to convey the package to be wrapped from a package infeed location to a registration position on the package wrapping elevator.
Abstract:
The catches (10) of the brackets (5) which can be made inactive by the elevator when the elevator is in the low position are designed to interact with corresponding cams (20, 21, 22) of different angular extents, keyed to a shaft (17) which is driven by a motor (22) whose speed and phase are electronically controlled and which is supported rotatably by the base of the machine. When a product is fed onto the elevator and its dimensions are measured by known means which then determine the travel of the film unwinding gripper in the packaging station, if necessary the cam shaft is made to rotate through a distance capable of causing the oscillation of the catches of the brackets which are to be disengaged, so that when the elevator rises the unnecessary brackets are already disengaged and oscillate slowly downwards. Immediately after the active travel of the elevator, the cam shaft rotates into the rest position, so that when the elevator is lowered again and causes the previously disengaged brackets to interact with the resetting stops (14) the catches of these brackets are reset so that they retain the brackets in the active position.
Abstract:
A cover forming apparatus for forming a flower pot or flower pot cover from a sheet of material by engaging a sheet of material about the outer surface of a mold, die or pot. The cover forming apparatus includes a plurality of pivotable forming members resting in a surface which supports a sheet of material upon which is positioned a flower pot mold or flower pot. When the forming members are pivotally moved from the storage position to an extended position, the forming members cause the sheet of material to be appressed to or engaged with the mold or pot. The article formed in accordance with the present invention may be separable from the mold or pot and usable as a flower pot or flower pot cover or may be more or less securely attached to the pot by adhesive, cohesive, barbs, friction pinches or other securing means thereby forming a decorative cover connected to a flower pot. The cover forming apparatus may be incorporated within a mobile platform enabling the cover forming apparatus to be moved from one location to another.
Abstract:
A method of wrapping generally spherical objects (16), for example, lettuces, includes placing a thermoplastic film on a work surface (14) which includes a downwardly movable support member (17) on to which the object (16) is placed. A displacement member (21) is then moved into engagement with the object (16) so as to displace the object (16) and the film downwardly through the central opening of an iris diaphragm (20). After the displacement member (21) has moved a predetermined distance downwardly, it is retracted upwardly and the iris diaphragm (20) is then closed. The object (16) is then rotated to gather the film around it. The displacement member (21) also comprises a heater head (22) which is then moved downwardly to contact the portions of the film projecting upwardly through the diaphragm (20) to fuse them together.
