Abstract:
A piezoelectric material layer is easily formed on a partial region of the substrate surface. By forming a different hardness material layer that has a different hardness from that of the substrate in the form of a pattern on the surface of the substrate, a film-deposition permitting region A to which particles of a piezoelectric material in a carrier gas adhere in a form of a film and a film-deposition inhibiting region B which inhibits the formation of a film are provided. Further, when a carrier gas containing particles of a piezoelectric material are ejected onto the surface of the substrate by means of AD, a film-like piezoelectric material layer is formed as a result of the adhesion of the particles in the film-deposition permitting region A. As a result, the piezoelectric material layer can be formed easily in a partial region of the surface of the substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a light exposure apparatus, and its method, comprising: an illumination optical system including: a light source array formed of a plural separate light sources arranged one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally; condensing optical system for condensing light emitted from each light source of the light source array; a light integrator for spatially decomposing the light condensed by the condensing optics, and thus generating a multitude of pseudo-secondary light sources; and a condenser lens for overlapping the light rays emitted from the multitude of pseudo-secondary light sources generated by the light integrator, and thus illuminating an illumination target region having a pattern to be exposed; and a projection optical system for projecting transmitted or reflected light onto an exposure target region of an exposure target object in order to expose the pattern to be exposed that is illuminated by the illumination optical system.
Abstract:
The data bits of a first image data unit representing a first range of 0-255 continuous color tones are mapped to a second image data unit having an expanded bit count capable of representing a second range of continuous color tones greater the first range. Of the available colors tones in the second range, 256 color tones are selected and associated with the 256 data combinations achievable with the first image data unit. A decoder is used to convert each data combination in the first image data unit into its corresponding color tone from the second range, which defines its conversion into a second image data unit. In this manner, one can expand the range of displayable colors to approximate the display of true colors associated with a higher resolution without increasing the number of bits of the first image data unit, which is input to a driver IC by an MPU.
Abstract:
The present invention combines sensor portions 22, 23 of the device for measuring either current flowing through the line from the power inlet to the power outlet or voltage, or both, and bushings 150, 160 installed at either the power inlet or the power outlet, or both, so as to reduce the size of the gas insulating apparatus. Specifically, the above-mentioned sensor portions 22, 23 are installed in the space inside the porcelain tube 15 that constitutes the bushings 150, 160. As this space, it is preferable to use the space on the outer-periphery side of the electric field relaxation member 21 provided inside the porcelain tube 15.
Abstract:
A pointing device including a base section, an operating section shiftably supported on the base section, a magnet carried on one of the base section and the operating section, and a magneto-electro transducer carried on the other of the base section and the operating section at a location close to the magnet. The operating section includes a first part securely holding one of the magnet and the magneto-electro transducer and supported on the base section shiftably in a desired horizontal direction relative to the base section, and a second part connected to the first part and elastically biasing the first part toward a home position in a horizontal shifting range during a period when the first part is horizontally shifted along the base section. The second part of the operating section is provided integrally with a major portion substantially surrounding an entire circumference of the first part, a first connecting portion connected to the first part at one end of the major portion and a second connecting portion connected to the base section at another end of the major portion; the major portion exerting an even elastic biasing force irrespective of a shifting direction of the first part on the base section.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating an ink-jet head including forming a first photosensitive resin layer on one face of a metal flat plate, forming a second photosensitive resin layer on the other face of the metal flat plate, selectively exposing the first photosensitive resin layer by using a mask formed with a pattern corresponding to a first passage partially constituting the ink passage, removing an exposed portion or an unexposed portion of the first photosensitive resin layer, forming the first passage by etching the metal flat plate to form a shape corresponding to a removed portion of the first photosensitive resin layer, selectively exposing the second photosensitive resin layer by using a mask formed with a pattern corresponding to a second passage partially constituting the ink passage and a filter, forming the second passage connected to the first passage and the filter by removing an exposed portion or an unexposed portion of the second photosensitive resin layer, and laminating the flat plate processed by the steps of (A) through (G) onto the other flat plates.
Abstract:
An electrically driven brake booster (1) includes an input member (4) disposed in operative association with a brake pedal (12), an output member (5) disposed in operative association with the master cylinder (6), and drive transmitting device (10) for translating a rotating motion of a motor (9) into a linear motion to be transmitted to the output member (5). The drive transmitting device (10) comprises a rack (23) formed on the output member (5), and pinions (21, 22) disposed in operative association with the motor (9) and in meshing engagement with the rack (23). Also, reaction transmitting device (8) which transmits a brake reaction to the input member (4) and the output member (5) at a given proportion is provided. In comparison to conventional drive transmitting device, the drive transmitting device (10) of the present invention has a simple construction, a reduced weight and a better transmission efficiency. The provision of reaction transmitting device allows a correct brake control to be achieved on the basis of a brake reaction.

Abstract:
A polishing device includes a wafer chuck mechanism which retains a wafer while its plane to be polished faces upward, a polishing pad component which possesses a polishing plane which polishes the wafer, a polishing head, and a shift mechanism which enables a relative displacement of said polishing pad component in relation to the wafer. A fixation and retention mechanism fixes and retains said polishing pad component to the polishing head in a detachable fashion while its polishing plane faces downward. The displacement distance of the shift mechanism ranges from the polishing position of the wafer to the exchange position of the polishing pad component, so that the polishing pad component is automatically exchanged.
