    Abstract: A filter member including filter plates laminated in a first direction and having filter holes is included. The filter member includes a first filter plate at which a first through-hole is formed and a second filter plate at which a second through-hole is formed. The filter hole includes a penetrating portion that is a portion where a part of the first through-hole overlaps with a part of the second through-hole when viewed in the first direction and that penetrates from a first surface to a second surface, and a first portion adjacent to the penetrating portion and recessed by more than half a thickness of the filter member from a second surface to a first surface when viewed in the first direction.

    Abstract: A fluid ejector includes a nozzle layer, a body, an actuator and a membrane. The body includes a pumping chamber, a return channel, and a first passage fluidically connecting the pumping chamber to an entrance of the nozzle. A second passage fluidically connects the entrance of the nozzle to the return channel. The actuator is configured to cause fluid to flow out of the pumping chamber such that actuation of the actuator causes fluid to be ejected from the nozzle. The membrane is formed across and partially blocks at least one of the first passage, the second passage or the entrance of the nozzle. The membrane has at least one hole therethrough such that in operation of the fluid ejector fluid flows through the at least one hole in the membrane.

    Abstract: A liquid ejection recording element unit includes: a first substrate provided with a first partition wall that demarcates a first flow channel including an ejection port of a liquid, and an energy generating portion that generates energy for ejecting the liquid from the first flow channel; and a second substrate provided with a second partition wall that demarcates a second flow channel including a supply port of the liquid, the second substrate being stacked on the first substrate, so that the second flow channel communicates with the first flow channel. The first partition wall and the second partition wall are contiguous across a predetermined gap, in the stacking direction of the first substrate and the second substrate. A hydraulic diameter of the gap is smaller than a hydraulic diameter of a smallest flow channel portion having a minimum flow channel cross-sectional area in the first flow channel.
