Abstract: A liquid ejecting device includes a head unit and a mounting unit. The head unit includes: a first channel member formed with a first channel having an ejection hole; and a first electronic member including a first terminal. The first channel member has an ejection surface in which the ejection hole is open. The mounting unit includes a second electronic member having a plate shape. The second electronic member includes a second terminal. The liquid ejecting device is switchable between: a first state in which the first and second terminals are separated from each other; and a second state in which the first and second terminals are in contact with each other. When the liquid ejecting device is in the second state, the second electronic member extends parallel to the ejection surface and a contact point between the first and second terminals is positioned upward relative to the first channel.

Abstract: A liquid discharge head is provided in which heat of a heat sink is less apt to transfer to a head body. The liquid discharge head includes a head body 2a having a discharge hole for discharging a liquid therethrough, a driver IC 93 configured to control driving of the head body 2a, a casing 91 which is disposed on the head body 2a and has openings 91a and 91b on a side surface of the casing, and a heat sink 90 which is disposed on the openings 91a and 91b of the casing 91 and configured to dissipate heat generated in the driver IC 93, and a thermal insulation part 91e disposed between the heat sink 90 and the head body 2a. This makes it possible to reduce the likelihood that the heat of the heat sink 91e transfers to the head body 2a.

Abstract: A printing unit includes: three elongate printheads positioned in a staggered overlapping arrangement for spanning across a media feed path, wherein a first printhead and a second printhead are longitudinally spaced apart and positioned in a row across the media feed path and a third printhead is offset from and overlaps with both the first and second printheads; three wipers for longitudinally wiping respective printheads in a direction perpendicular to a media feed direction, each wiper being parked at one longitudinal end of its respective printhead. One of the wipers, in its parked position, is positioned in a space between the first and second printheads.

Each module is a self-contained printer including an ink supply, printhead drive electronics, and printhead assembly in order to provide one color or fluid of inkjet printing capability. Each module includes a precise three-point compliant self-aligning mount system to obtain accurate printhead positioning, and a unique integrated printhead tending system that includes a compact movable vacuum knife for cleaning the printheads, and a printhead capping station for sealing and protecting the printheads from the ambient environment when not in use.

Abstract: A printhead module includes: a monolithic substrate having alternate longitudinal slots and longitudinal ink supply channels defined through a thickness of the substrate and extending parallel with each other along a length of the substrate; and a plurality of rows of print chips mounted on a front face of the substrate, each row of print chips receiving ink only from a respective one of the ink supply channels. Each one of the longitudinal slots is configured to supply power and data only to a respective one of the rows of print chips.
