摘要: In a method for cleaning print heads that are arranged in at least one row within at least one print bar, a position of a spray nozzle can be determined, and a nozzle surface can be sprayed using the spray nozzle. The nozzle surface can be sprayed with at least one liquid cleaning jet, and can be based on the determined position of the spray nozzle. The at least one liquid cleaning jet can strike the nozzle surface at an obtuse angle of incidence. The spraying of the at least one liquid cleaning jet can be omitted if the spray nozzle is located in a gap between two adjacent print heads.

摘要: An inkjet printing device allows separation of ink solvent liquefied in an exhaust passage from exhaust gas, and prevents the separated exhaust gas from contaminating the inside of the print head. When ink fed from a container is jetted from a printing nozzle, ink that has not been used for the printing is drawn by a gutter along with air and collected in the container. Air mixed with the ink solvent and collected is discharged as exhaust gas into an exhaust passage from the container. The ink solvent that has been liquefied in the exhaust passage is separated from the gas by retaining the liquid using capillary action in a gas-liquid separator, and the separated liquefied ink solvent is collected. The trace amount of the ink solvent leaking on the exhaust side of the gas-liquid separator is prevented from dripping into the print head by a drip prevention unit.

摘要: A capping mechanism selectively takes a capped state in which an ejection space opposing an ejection surface is covered or an uncapped state in which the ejection space is not covered. A controller is configured to: determine whether a first change of the capping mechanism from the capped state to the uncapped state occurred while air moisturized by a moisturization mechanism is being moved to the ejection space by a ventilator or not; and when a second change of the capping mechanism from the uncapped state to the capped state occurred after the first change occurred, control the ventilator to move the air moisturized by the moisturization mechanism to the ejection space when a first uncapped time is shorter than a first predetermined time, and control a discharger to discharge the liquid through ejection openings when the first uncapped time is not shorter than the first predetermined time.

摘要: A printing assembly has a frame which has two side walls, and between which, a transport path provided for the transport of printing material, at least partially extends. A transport direction is defined by the transport path provided for the transport of printing material. The printing assembly has at least three cross bars which each extend at least in a transverse direction between the side walls and which are arranged one behind the other with respect to the transport direction. The printing assembly has at least three printing heads which are arranged one behind the other with respect to the transport direction. At least one first additional device, which is different from each printing head, is arranged on each of the cross bars, which at least one first additional device is associated with at least one front printing head arranged in front of the particular cross member in the transport direction. At least one second additional device, which is different from each printing head, is arranged on each of the cross members, which at least one second additional device is associated with at least one rear printing head arranged behind the particular cross member in the transport direction.
