    Abstract: An engine device including a cylinder block having one side portion to which a flywheel that is rotated integrally with a crankshaft is disposed. The engine device is provided with a starter that transmits a rotational force to the flywheel at a time of engine start. A flywheel housing, which accommodates the flywheel and includes a starter attachment pedestal for attaching the starter, is attached to the one side portion of the cylinder block. The starter is disposed inner side of the engine than a portion of the flywheel housing, the portion being located outermost in the engine with respect to a direction that is perpendicular to a direction along a crankshaft center and that is parallel to the cylinder head joining surface of the cylinder block.

    Abstract: A system and method for separating parts of a liquid based or depending on gas content is disclosed herein. The system, in an embodiment, comprises a pressure chamber, an inlet through which liquid is pumped into said chamber, a first liquid outlet connected to an upper part of said pressure chamber, and a second liquid outlet connected to a lower part of said pressure chamber. The first and second liquid outlets comprise a first valve element and a second valve element, respectively, that are configured to control the pressure inside said pressure chamber. While under pressure, a first subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the first liquid outlet, and a second subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the second liquid outlet. The first subpart has a greater percentage of gas content than the percentage of gas content, if any, in the second subpart.

    Abstract: Techniques for managing a lubricant fluid include storing a lubricant fluid that includes liquid water in an interior volume of a reservoir, which includes a vapor space above the lubricant fluid that encloses water vapor; circulating, with a blower, a first airflow from the vapor space to an ambient environment to remove at least a portion of the water vapor to the ambient environment; circulating a second airflow to a heater in fluid communication with the vapor space within the interior volume of the reservoir; heating the second airflow with the heater; circulating the heated airflow into the vapor space to reduce a relative humidity of the vapor space; and releasing at least a portion of the liquid water from the interior volume of the reservoir through a control valve coupled to the reservoir.

    Abstract: An oil filtration system includes an oil chamber inlet. Also included is a first screen defining a first chamber volume that receives an oil flow from the oil chamber inlet, the first screen having a first mesh coarseness. Further included is a second screen surrounding the first screen to define a second chamber volume surrounding the first chamber volume, the second screen having a second mesh coarseness that is greater than the first mesh coarseness. Yet further included is at least one exit nozzle having an exit cross-sectional area that is greater than or equal to a cross-sectional area of apertures of the second screen. Also included is a bypass valve disposed in a first position during a first pressure condition within the first chamber volume and in a second position during a second pressure condition within the first chamber volume.
