Abstract: The disclosure relates to a toothed belt including: a back portion in which a tension member is embedded; a plurality of tooth portions formed on an inner circumferential surface of the back portion; a back rubber layer formed on a belt outer circumference side with respect to the tension member; and a first rubber layer and a second rubber layer formed on a belt inner circumferential side with respect to the tension member, in which an inner circumferential belt surface is formed of a tooth fabric, the back portion includes the back rubber layer, an elastic modulus of the first rubber layer is larger than an elastic modulus of the second rubber layer, and the tooth portion includes the tooth fabric, the first rubber layer formed along the tooth fabric, and the second rubber layer interposed between the first rubber layer and the tension member.

Abstract: This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

Abstract: In one example embodiment, disclosed is a polyethylene film comprising a core layer comprising at least 85 wt. % high-density polyethylene. Further, the polyethylene film comprises a first tie layer on a first side of the core layer consisting essentially of: (i) at least about 50 wt. % high-density polyethylene; and (ii) from 5 wt. % through 40 wt. % of each of: (a) an olefin-block copolymer; and (b) low-density polyethylene polymer and/or ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer. Further still, the polyethylene film comprises a first skin layer on the first tie layer, wherein the first skin layer comprises a polyethylene-based polymer, silicone, and antiblock agent, wherein the polyethylene film is coextruded and oriented either monoaxially or biaxially. Yet further, the polyethylene film is adhered to face stock, which optionally excludes silicone.

Abstract: A frictional power transmission belt is provided, containing an adhesion rubber layer in contact with at least a portion of a tension member extending in a longitudinal direction of the belt, in which the adhesion rubber layer is formed of a first vulcanized rubber composition containing a rubber component and a filler, the filler contains substantially no silica and contains 30 parts by mass or more of carbon black based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and the tension member has, on a surface thereof, an overcoat layer formed of a second vulcanized rubber composition containing a rubber component and silica.

Abstract: A composite panel manufacturing process with interlocking connections. The method includes laying out the first sheet of pre-preg epoxy carbon fiber, upon a polished and released aluminum tool. A second sheet of epoxy fiberglass is laid out over the top side of the first sheet. Rigid structural foam is laid on top of the second sheet of epoxy fiberglass. A third sheet of pre-preg epoxy fiberglass is laid on top of the rigid structural foam. A fourth sheet of pre-preg epoxy carbon is laid on top of the third sheet of pre-preg epoxy fiberglass with heavy resin/top side out to form a plurality of panels. The plurality of panels are cured to form a multilayer panel. Core material is removed along one edge of a first multilayer panel to make a U-shaped channel having a base and parallel flanges. A grooved slot is cut along one edge of the next multilayer panel. The panels are joined at the corner using an adhesive.
