摘要: A network controller provides proactive notification of a wireless client device's address rotation to layer 2 (L2) and/or layer 3 (L3) devices. Traditional methods of device address discovery rely on broadcasting of address queries across a plurality of links until a path to a device having the queried address responds. As device address changes become more frequent in an effort to improve user privacy, traditional methods of address discovery impose a large burden on networks, reducing their performance and efficiency. By proactively propagating address changes to upstream devices, the need for broadcast oriented address discovery techniques is reduced, resulting in improved network performance.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for communicating elements between multi-link devices are disclosed. Apparatuses of a first station (STA) affiliated with a multi-link device (MLD) are disclosed, where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to determine a sequence number as a next sequence number of a sequence number space where the sequence number space is indexed by a MLD media access control (MAC) address of a second MLD, and wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to encode a media access control (MAC) management protocol data unit (MMPDU) in a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), the MMDPU including the sequence number, a frame body, and an address 1 field, the address 1 field indicating an address of a second station (STA) affiliated with the second MLD, and configure the first STA to transmit the PPDU to the second station.

摘要: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems that facilitate mobility of wireless communication devices configured for multi-link operation (MLO). Particular aspects more specifically relate to facilitating fast basic service set (BSS) transitions by wireless communication devices that support MLO. For example, some aspects provide support for station (STA) multi-link device (MLD) roaming between access point (AP) MLDs, from an AP MLD to a non-MLO AP, or from a non-MLO AP to an AP MLD. In some aspects, a STA MLD may be configured to use a medium access control (MAC) service access point address (MAC-SAP address) of the AP MLD when re-associating or communicating with a legacy AP or with an AP MLD. In such aspects, the MAC-SAP address may be used by all STAs of the non-AP MLD for fast BSS transitions.

摘要: A method performed in a network node for identifying UEs which are non-compliant with modified CRS operation. The network node enables CRS operation according to a first configuration for a first period. The network node analyzes Information Elements (IE) in RRC Connection Re-establishment Request messages received from UEs during the first period. The network node generates a first set containing identities of UEs whose values in reestablishmentCause IE in the RRC Connection Re-establishment Request messages received during the first period are “otherFailure”. When the first period is finished, the network node enables CRS operation according a second configuration different from the first configuration for a second period. The network node analyzes IE in RRC Reestablishment Request messages received from UEs during the second period. The network node generates a set containing identities of non-compliant UEs based on the first set and analyzing IE in the RRC Reestablishment Request messages received during the second period.

摘要: Methods and systems for handling UE associated information in non-terrestrial networks are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a satellite head station, includes: translating a first uplink (UL) tunnel address associated with a core network to a second UL tunnel address associated with the satellite head station, wherein the first and second UL tunnel addresses are each associated with a packet data unit (PDU) session established between the core network and a user equipment device (UE); transmitting the second UL tunnel address to a first satellite base station; and receiving UL data associated with the PDU session from the first satellite base station, wherein a UL tunnel address destination associated with the received UL data is set as the second UL tunnel address.
