    摘要: Disclosed is a control arrangement for a hydrostatic drive of the type having a power-driven adjustable pump, a pressure responsive setting cylinder coupled to the pump, a hydraulic motor connected via pressure conduits to the pump and a measuring motor coupled to the hydraulic motor to rotate with a proportional rotary speed. A supply pump is connected in a control circuit including the measuring motor and a nominal or desired value generator in the form of an adjustable throttle by means of which the desired rotary speed of the hydraulic motor is adjusted. Deviations between the actual and desired speeds produce a differential control flow which is fed to the setting cylinder which adjusts the position of an adjusting member of the pump for so long as until the deviation equals zero.

    摘要: A hydrostatic propulsion system and method of operation is disclosed for smoothly driving a vehicle, such as a street sweeper. The system includes a shift lever for selectively moving a pump stroking valve into reverse, neutral, low forward, and fast forward speed positions to prepare the system. After the shift lever has been placed in a forward or reverse position, an accelerator pedal must be depressed to partially or fully close an inching throttle valve before the pump swash plate moves from its zero piston displacement position and begins to pump fluid to the hydrostatic motors. Hydrostatic braking forces are applied when the accelerator pedal is released and also in response to initial depression of a brake pedal for providing normal braking to the vehicle. Further depression of the brake pedal operates a conventional brake system for panic stops. Movement into the high forward speed range is accomplished by moving the shift lever into "high" which activates a circuit for shifting the swash plates of the hydrostatic motors into high speed positions.

    摘要: A hydraulic excavator is disclosed which includes two sets of manual control valves for selectively placing a pair of variable displacement pumps in and out of communication with hydraulically driven components such as propelling motors, arm cylinders and boom cylinders. In order to minimize the per-cycle displacement of the pumps when same are discommunicated from all the driven components, a sensing valve is provided which is pilot operated from the sets of manual control valves. When all the manual control valves are in neutral, the sensing valve directs pressurized fluid from a charging pump to a pump-displacement adjustment mechanism thereby causing same to reduce the per-cycle displacement of the pumps to a minimum.

    摘要: A "load-plus" valve is oftentimes utilized in the servo-system for a variable displacement pump to maintain pump discharge pressure above a minimum pressure level and above a load pressure in a fluid actuator. Valves of this type normally employ a spring interconnected between a modulating spool and a piston which is responsive to load pressure to modulate a control pressure, controlling the displacement of the pump. Valves of this type thus provide a constant discharge pressure margin over load pressure while also providing the pump's minimum stand-by pressure. However, valves of this type further provide pump packages which are somewhat bulky in design. The improved load-plus valve (22) of this invention provides a spool (49) movable between a first position communicating a control pressure (P.sub.C) from a pump (11) to a control chamber (24) and a second position at least partially venting the control chamber (24), and a piston (57) movable between a first position isolating the piston (57) from the spool (49) to enable the spool (49) to move independently of the piston (57 ) and a second position engaging and moving the spool (49) to modulate the control pressure (P.sub.C) in response to variations in a load pressure (P.sub.L) in a fluid actuator (13).

    摘要: A hydraulic circuit is provided to prevent overspeeding the prime mover powering a hydrostatic transmission. The hydrostatic transmission includes a hydraulic motor fluidly coupled to a hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump is driven by the prime mover and the hydraulic motor drives a rotational load. The hydraulic pump includes a swash plate tilted by a servomechanism. The servomechanism receives hydraulic fluid from a pump powered by the prime mover. A valve is operated to shut-off the hydraulic fluid to the servomechanism in the event that the pressure in either of the two conduits joining together the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor exceeds a pre-set maximum value or if the pressure in an auxiliary line exceeds the same pre-set maximum value or if the sum of the two pressures exceeds the pre-set maximum value. The pre-set maximum value is a variable quantity having its maximum value when the angle of tilt on a swash plate within the hydraulic pump is zero or when the plate is approximately perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the plate. It is proportional to the horsepower demanded from the prime mover. By shutting off the supply of hydraulic fluid to the servomechanism when the auxiliary pressure or any of the two pressures in the two lines coupling hydraulic motor with the hydraulic pump becomes excessive, the hydraulic pump is precluded from being operated to load the prime mover in such a matter that the prime mover and pump would accelerate to an overspeed condition. This circuit is superior to those devices which sense an engine overspeed condition and then react because this circuit prevents the overspeed condition from occurring in the first place.

The pump displacement is either regulated by an electro-hydraulic control valve in response to an electrical signal proportional to motor load or the pump displacement is regulated to maintain a constant discharge pressure. The flow of pressurized fluid from the pump is automatically cut off from a servo type valve controlling a negative or aiding load once this load exceeds a certain minimum level and the inlet flow requirement of the actuator is supplied from a low pressure source bypassing the servo valve.
