    摘要: A paper or cardboard coating composition having a dry matter content of between 45% and 80%, comprising i) binders which include at least one modified starch and one adhesive, ii) a hydrolyzed wheat protein having an average molecular weight of between 7 and 1000 kDa, and iii) a mineral filler, and also the method for obtaining such a composition. A method for coating or brightening paper or cardboard, comprising the steps consisting of i) the provision of a composition as described, and ii) the depositing of said composition on a paper or cardboard substrate, and to the coated paper or cardboard thus obtained. Finally, the use of a hydrolyzed wheat protein in the replacement of latex in a paper or cardboard coating composition.

    摘要: Disclosed is a print medium for high speed, digital inkjet printing, which has high brightness and is resistant to yellowing. The print medium includes a base paper formed from a fiber furnish containing at least 30% by weight of mechanical pulp, and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the base paper. The coating layer contains a metallic salt, a combination of two different binders at a predetermined ratio, and at least one inorganic pigment. A method of making the print medium is also disclosed.

    摘要: A size composition for the surface sizing of paper, board or other suchlike. The size composition comprises a size fraction which comprises a water-soluble, principal component made up of, for example, starch, polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose, glucomannan, protein, or mixtures thereof, and a pigment fraction formed by mixing together a mineral material, which in the main comprises talc particles and/or other phyllosilicate particles, and a binder such as a synthetic polymer, latex and/or other corresponding binder. The size composition is prepared by mixing together the said size fraction and pigment fraction.
