摘要: Provided is a resin composite having high mechanical properties which make the resin composite moldable into and usable as members for use in applications such as vehicle-mounted members and electrical materials. The resin composite comprises 0.5-40 mass % chemically modified, fine cellulose fibers and a resin, wherein the chemically modified, fine cellulose fibers have a pyrolysis initiation temperature (TD) of 270° C. or higher, a number-average fiber diameter of 10 nm or larger but less than 1 μm, and a degree of crystallinity of 60% or higher. In a preferred embodiment, the chemically modified, fine cellulose fibers have a coefficient of variation (CV) in DS unevenness ratio, DSs/DSt, of 50% or less, the DS unevenness ratio being the ratio of the modification degree (DSs) of the surface layers of the fibers to the modification degree (DSt) of the whole of the fibers.

摘要: Methods of preparing partially dried or essentially completely dried compositions comprising microfibrillated cellulose and an inorganic particulate material may include microfibrillating a fibrous substrate comprising cellulose in an aqueous environment by grinding in the presence of an inorganic particulate material to form an aqueous composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose and inorganic particulate material, wherein the fibrous substrate comprising cellulose has a Canadian Standard freeness equal to or less than 450 cm, wherein the fibrous substrate to the inorganic particulate material are in a ratio of about 99.5:0.5 to about 0.5:99.5, and wherein the microfibrillated cellulose has a fibre steepness of from about 20 to about 50; by treating the aqueous composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose and inorganic particulate material to remove at least a portion or substantially all of the water of the aqueous composition to form a partially dried or essentially completely dried composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose and inorganic particulate material.

摘要: Disclosed are processes for manufacturing cross-linked cellulosic fibers and tissue products comprising cross-linked cellulosic fibers, manufactured by reacting an oxidized polyol, in particular, an oxidized sugar having at least two aldehyde groups with a plurality of cellulosic fibers to yield treated fibers and heating the treated fibers at a temperature greater than about 140° C. to cure the treated fibers. In particular, said sugar is sucrose and the oxidising agent comprises hydrogen peroxide. The instant cross-linked fibers are manufactured without well-known cross-linking agents such as formaldehyde or polycarboxylic acids, and have good brightness and color and resist yellowing. Furthermore, the cross-linked cellulosic fibers are generally free from off odors and the instant cross-linked cellulosic fibers have enhanced properties, such as improved wet bulk, compared to uncross-linked fibers.

摘要: The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a method for producing pulp fibres for saccharification from the pulp fibres of used sanitary items, said pulp fibres for saccharification having low lignin contents distributed within a narrow range, and enabling the production of pulp fibres for saccharification having superior saccharification properties. The production method according to the present disclosure is characterised by comprising the following: a step for supplying a mixed solution (51) containing pulp fibres and highly-absorbent polymers sourced from used sanitary items to a treatment tank (31) via a mixed-solution supply port (32); a step for supplying an ozone-containing gas (53) to a treatment solution (52) within the treatment tank (31) via an ozone-containing-gas supply port (43); a step for lifting the ozone-containing gas (53) whilst lowering the pulp fibres and highly-absorbent polymers within the treatment tank (31), thereby bringing the ozone-containing gas (53) into contact with the pulp fibres and highly-absorbent polymers, and forming pulp fibres for saccharification from the pulp fibres; and a step for discharging the treatment solution (52) via a treatment-solution discharge port (33). The method is further characterised in that the pulp fibres for saccharification have lignin contents of 0.1% or less.

摘要: Grafted, crosslinked cellulosic materials include cellulose fibers and polymer chains composed of at least one monoethylenically unsaturated acid group-containing monomer (such as acrylic acid) grafted thereto, in which one or more of said cellulose fibers and said polymer chains are crosslinked (such as by intra-fiber chain-to-chain crosslinks). Some of such materials are characterized by a wet bulk of about 10.0-17.0 cm3/g, an IPRP value of about 1000 to 7700 cm2/MPa·sec, and/or a MAP value of about 7.0 to 38 cm H2O. Methods for producing such materials may include grafting polymer chains from a cellulosic substrate, followed by treating the grafted material with a crosslinking agent adapted to effect crosslinking of one or more of the cellulosic substrate or the polymer chains. Example crosslinking mechanisms include esterfication reactions, ionic reactions, and radical reactions, and example crosslinking agents include pentaerythritol, homopolymers of the graft species monomer, and hyperbranched polymers.

摘要: [Object] An object is to provide a sulfonated fine cellulose fiber having excellent transparency a sulfonated pulp fiber suitable for the sulfonated fine cellulose fiber, a method for producing these fibers, and a derivative pulp containing the sulfonated pulp fiber.
[Means for achieving the object] The sulfonated pulp fiber of the present invention is a pulp fiber comprising a plurality of cellulose fibers, wherein a part of hydroxyl groups of the cellulose fibers of the pulp fiber is substituted with sulfo groups, an introduction amount of sulfur attributable to the sulfo groups is adjusted to be higher than 0.42 mmol/g while maintaining a fiber shape, and a water retention value of the pulp fiber is adjusted to 150% or more. Since the sulfonated pulp fiber has a predetermined water retaining property or more while maintaining the fiber shape, the degree of flexibility in handling can be improved.
