摘要: A rail car hand brake locking system utilizes a connection member and a securing body. The connection member has an aperture near each distal end. The securing body has a head end capable of securing around a portion of an actuating wheel of the hand brake and a connection end capable of securing to the connection member, which is then affixed to the hand brake housing. The system prevents unauthorized usage of the hand brake.

摘要: A system includes a machine assembly, an imaging sensor, an encoder, and one or more processors. The machine assembly is movable to actuate a brake lever of a vehicle in order to open a valve of an air brake system of the vehicle. The imaging sensor acquires perception information of a working environment that includes the brake lever. The encoder detects a displaced position of the machine assembly relative to a reference position of the machine assembly. The one or more processors detect a position of the brake lever relative to the machine assembly based on the acquired perception information and the detected displacement of the arm. The one or more processors generate a motion trajectory for the machine assembly that provides a path to the brake lever. The one or more processors drive movement of the machine assembly along the motion trajectory towards the brake lever.

摘要: A locking mechanism for a brake cylinder that has a tube surrounding the hollow shaft of the brake cylinder with a first set of teeth formed along an outer surface thereof. A gate having a second set of teeth corresponding to the first set of teeth is moveable in between a first position, wherein the first and second set of teeth are engaged to prevent movement of the brake cylinder piston, and a second position where the first and second set of teeth are disengaged to allow movement of the brake cylinder piston. A spring biases the gate into the locked position and a supplemental piston responsive to a source of brake pipe pressure can move the gate into the unlocked position so that the main piston is free to move.

The rail car includes safety platform and handbrake wherein operator walkway platforms are included with co-planer end walkways and running boards, wherein the running boards are above the top chords of the sidewalls of the well car; and a handbrake operated with a hand wheel is mounted on one side of the railroad well car, which hand wheel extends below the top chords of the side walls of the well car whereby the hand wheel is accessible from the side of the railcar via an operator on the ground.

摘要: A locomotive brake controller that has a body configured to interconnect to a desktop location in the cab of a locomotive and a mount that can attach the base of the controller to a vertical stand in the cab of a locomotive. The controller also includes an operator interface adaptor that can be clocked relative to the body and an operator face plate that can be clocked relative to the mount depending on the location of installation to ensure proper tilting of the interface relative to the operator and proper orientation of the operator display. Alternatively, the adaptor may include a fixed face plate that includes a moveable display and an adhesive membrane with operator buttons to properly orient the display.

摘要: An apparatus for a hand brake includes a gear assembly, an electric motor coupled to the gear assembly, one or more sensors configured to sense at least one of the released and set states, a controller coupled to the electric motor and to the one or more sensors, the controller is configured to operate the electric motor in accordance with a predetermined logic algorithm so as to move the chain between the released and set states, and a device being movable between a first position wherein the device engages only the hand wheel and wherein the hand wheel is used to move the chain between the released and set states and a second position wherein the device engages both the hand wheel and a gear in the gear assembly and wherein the electric motor is operable to move the chain between the released and set states.

摘要: The present document describes a torque wrench adaptor system for applying a torque value to an operating shaft of a manual brake of a railcar. The torque wrench adaptor system comprises: a central hub for a hand wheel, the central hub attachable to the operating shaft via the central hub; and a socket adaptor removably engageable in the central hub, and adapted for engagement with a ratchet tool; wherein the ratchet tool is for applying torque which is transmitted to the operating shaft via the socket adaptor and central hub until the torque value is reached and applied to the operating shaft.

摘要: Device for automatically resetting the emergency brake in trains, of the type comprising a general conduit (100) and' a main conduit (200) designed to contain compressed air and extend from the front of the train, including the locomotive, to the last carriage, characterised by the fact that the said device comprises at least a first power supply unit (A), at least a second resetting unit (B) and at least a third activating unit (C). The first power supply unit (A), supplied by the main conduit (200), operates the pressure switch valve and is envisaged to create or remove an airway between the general conduit (100) and the second resetting unit (B) in order to cut off all the second units (B) and third activating units (C) once the emergency brake has been activated. In particular the first unit (A) is present in each carriage and in the pilot carriage. The second resetting unit (B) is envisaged to reset, automatically and without manual intervention, the brakes to allow resumption of the train's movement and is present in each carriage and in the pilot carriage while the third activating unit (C) is essentially constituted of an emergency brake activating handle and is present in each emergency brake activation point in each carriage and the pilot carriage.
