    摘要: An actuator is disclosed for use in an anti-skid brake system for wheeled vehicles. A first valve is disposed in a pressure line to selectively divide the pressure line into two separate lines. Also included is an electric motor, a pump driven by the electric motor, an accumulator adapted to accumulate fluid pressure generated by the pump, a control piston reciprocating under the fluid pressure to open and close the first valve, a second valve adapted to supply the fluid pressure to the control piston upon normal rolling of wheels so as to move the control piston to a non-operative position while excluding the fluid pressure from the control piston when the wheels are likely to lock up, and a third valve having first and second valves and controlling the fluid pressure to be supplied to a hydraulic chamber in response to depression and release of a brake pedal. In this arrangement, a relief valve is provided in a seat member of the first valve so that when the fluid pressure exceeds a predetermined upper limit, it is opened to introduce hydraulic fluid to a drain line through the second valve.

The supply of fluid from the supply to the brake is modulated by a solenoid-operated valve assembly which is responsive to the skid signals, the valve assembly incorporating a normally-open isolating valve disposed between the source and the brake, and a normally closed dump valve disposed between the brake and a reservoir for fluid.

    摘要: In a device for preventing a wheel lock condition of a vehicle, a fluid passage switching valve is inserted in a rear wheel brake fluid pressure transmission system. The fluid pressure switching valve is closed during brake application in so far as it is within a braking force range in which a rear wheel braking force must be lower than a front wheel braking force. The speeds of revolution or deceleration of the front and rear wheels are compared by comparison means. When the comparison means detects that the deceleration of the front wheel becomes greater than the deceleration state of the rear wheel by a predetermined value, the fluid passage switching valve opens for a given length of time to allow the rear wheel brake fluid pressure to increase.

    摘要: The invention is concerned with the rapid release of frictional force which is acting to reduce relative movement between contacting surfaces, the normal actuating means being unaffected. One application is in an anti-lock braking system in vehicles, particularly motor-cycles. A sensor monitors wheel angular velocity, calculates deceleration and when this exceeds a predetermined value the sensor causes ultrasonic vibrations to be applied to brake pads effectively reducing friction without release of brake operating pressure to enable resumption of normal rotation. A short duration dc pulse of appreciable magnitude may be applied to the transducer at the onset of the normal input signal to produce a short duration surge to rapidly break the frictional force between the friction member and the moveable member to enhance speed of release. The transducer may also be applied directly to the end wall of a friction member hydraulic operating cylinder when ultrasonic vibrations will be transmitted through the operating fluid to the piston connected to the friction member. The end wall of the cylinder is of a suitable matching material to facilitate transmission of the ultrasonic energy, and the piston is formed so as to minimize attenuation.The invention can also be applied to friction clutches operating in either rotary or linear senses to cause release when overloading or overspeeding occurs or to give gradual engagement in accordance with a predetermined program.

    摘要: An electronic anti-skid brake control system for regulating an individual wheel brake pressure independently of an operator controlled brake valve device in such a manner that when a predetermined brake pressure difference between a skidding and non-skidding wheel arises, the higher wheel brake pressure of the non-skidding wheel is reduced. Pressure transducers produce an electrial signal representative of each wheel brake pressure. These signals are connected to different inputs of a pair of differential amplifiers, which algebraically sum the signals to provide different polarity output signals according to the difference in wheel brake pressure. These difference signals are then compared at operational amplifiers with a predetermined bias signal that establishes the differential pressure at which at least one operational amplifier is operated to control modulator valve means associated with the non-skidding wheel.
