    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for improving the waterproofing of hides, skins, leathers, and furs, as well as other fibrous materials, by treatment with special surfactants in the beamhouse and/or in the treatment of the wet blues, prior to waterproofing. Particularly suitable as surfactants are anionic surfactants based on salts of N-acyl-amino acids and nonionic surfactants, such as alkyl polyglycosides or polyethyleneglycol carboxyalkyl ethers. The surfactants are used in amounts of 0.5 to 5% wt., relative to the pelt or shaved weight.

    摘要: The present invention relates to anhydrous and water-containing agents for waterproofing leathers and furs, which comprise a silicone and as emulsifier an alkyl polyalkylol ether carboxylic acid and/or an alkylaryl polyalkylol ether carboxylic acid and/or one of their alkali, alkaline earth, ammonia, amine, or alkanolamine salts. The present invention further relates to the use of these agents for waterproofing, preferably in retanning or afterwards. Subsequent to the waterproofing, an aftertreatment using metallic salts of bito tetravalent cations may be carried out.

    摘要: Deinking of impact and nonimpact printed paper is accomplished by repulping the printed paper in an alkali aqueous medium containing a deinking composition comprising one or more nonionic surfactants and/or alkanols. The presence of the deinking composition causes ink particles to agglomerate, which are removed from the aqueous medium by size and density separation. The invention provides an agglomeration method with high ink removal from all types of impact and nonimpact printed paper.

    摘要: The invention relates to non-ozone depleting cleaning compositions for degreasing elements in manufacturing and engineering processes like oily machine parts and for defluxing printed circuit boards, used in the electric and electrical industry. The composition according to the invention contains at least one C.sub.6-12 alkyllactate ester, preferably 2-ethyl hexyl lactate, in an amount of 70-99% by weight and at least one emulsifier, preferably n-octanol, in an amount of 1-30% by weight. One of the main advantages of the present cleaning composition is based on the fact that in the rinsing step with water for removing the cleaning composition from the treated surface an emulsion is formed, which on the one hand is stable enough for having proper rinsing ability and on the other hand--after the rinsing step--will separate rather quickly into an oil and a water phase. This last mentioned phenomenon provides the benefits of reusing the active cleaning agent, i.e. the C.sub.6-12 alkyllactate ester and reusing and/or partly discarding the waste water being toxicologically and environmentally safe.
