    摘要: A high throughput high performance chromatography system operating at a high mixing pressure including a plurality of pressurized solvent reservoirs, e.g. pumps, each maintaining an associated solvent at a substantially constant pressure. A plurality of flow control valves are connected downstream or upstream of the reservoirs for controlling the flow rate of the solvent into the respective columns. The number of reservoirs equals the number of solvents. Accordingly, the system reduces the number of pumps required thereby saving money and space. Furthermore, the system increases sample throughput, accelerates method development and minimizes organic waste.

    摘要: A material is provided for capturing a chemical substance comprising fibers which carry metal alkoxide particles on the surfaces thereof. The metal alkoxide particles are made from an oligosilica, an oligozirconia, an oligotitiania, or the like. The fibers may include inorganic fibers, regenerated fibers and/or synthetic fibers. The material for capturing a chemical substance is produced by a method comprising steps of subjecting the fibers to a surface treatment for facilitating adhesion of the metal alkoxide particles to the surfaces of the fibers, forming the metal alkoxide particles on the surfaces of the fibers, and fixing the metal alkoxide particles to the surfaces of the fibers. A chemical substance-capturing tube, capable of capturing a trace of a chemical substance in a liquid or a gas, can be produced by placing the fibers, i.e., the material for capturing a chemical substance, in a hollow tube.

    摘要: An access valve suitable for controlling fluid flow into and out of a chromatography column has a central axially movable probe with a head acting as a spool valve in a barrel. Axial movement of the probe adjusts the valve between a fully open condition, in which both a first conduit extending through the probe and a second conduit defined around the probe are open to the column interior, a partly open condition in which a second sealing land on the probe closes the second conduit, and a fully closed position in which both conduits are closed. The three positions are useful for packing and unpacking chromatography media into and from the column. In the closed condition of the valve, the first and second conduits communicate with one another so that the valve interior can be cleaned while the column is operating.

    摘要: A device for analyzing substances by thin layer chromatography comprises a solvent trough with two solvent channels, wherein two wall plates are mounted in the solvent trough, enabling thin layer plates to be arranged obliquely with respect to the horizontal in the solvent channels. The substance to be analyzed can thus be dropped or applied onto the thin layer plates from above, and solvent can be supplied to the solvent channels from above at a solvent supply point. The upward migration of components of the substance to be analyzed can thus be started without changing the position of the thin layer plate for this purpose.

    摘要: A liquid chromatographic process performed at least partly in a fluidised bed contained in a vessel and comprising particle fluidised by an upwardly directed liquid flow, said process comprising (a) a capture step in which one or more compounds of a sample are captured by the particles and (b) a wash and/or releasing step in which the particles is in form of a fluidised bed through which a liquid flow is passing. The characteristic feature is that the liquid (liquid 1) used in the wash or the releasing step (step 1) is immediately followed by a liquid (liquid 2, step 2) having a higher density than liquid 1 while maintaining the bed in a fluidised state. A liquid chromatographic process having an actual sequence of steps comprising (c) at least a capture step in which a sample deriving from an animal is bound to the particles and (d) two consecutive steps (step 1 and step 2) in which the bed is fluidised by a liquid flow passing through said vessel. The characteristic feature of the process is that the liquid used in step 2 (liquid 2) has a density that is higher than the density of the liquid used in step 1 (liquid 1).
