The fluid flow path defined by the inner surface is associated with at least one flow characteristic configured to limit a stress within the flow of the bodily fluid between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion.

摘要: A system includes a tubing set and a drive assembly. The tubing set includes inlet tubing couplable to a source of fluid, a valve coupled to the inlet tubing, a syringe coupled to the inlet tubing via the valve, and outlet tubing coupled to the valve. The valve is configured to allow fluid to be drawn from the source of fluid via the inlet tubing into a syringe body of the syringe and to be expelled from the syringe body and through the outlet tubing, and to prevent fluid from being drawn from the outlet tubing into the syringe body and to prevent fluid expelled from the syringe body from flowing through the inlet tubing. The drive assembly is configured to reversibly receive the tubing set such that a drive mechanism is engaged with a plunger of the syringe to reciprocally translate the plunger relative to the syringe body.

摘要: An autoinjector for dispensing a liquid product, in particular a highly viscous medication, includes: a housing, a product container, which is arranged in the housing and has a slidable piston, wherein the piston can be slid in a dispensing direction in order to dispense the product contained in the product container, a forward drive element, which acts on the piston as the product is being dispensed, a first spring, which is preloaded such that the product can be dispensed from the product container by the sliding of the forward drive element and the piston, and a rotation element, which is operatively coupled to the forward drive element, wherein the first spring acts on the rotation element in such a way that the rotation element is set into rotation in order to dispense the product, wherein the rotation element or the forward drive element has a thread having a variable pitch.

摘要: The present disclosure relates in one aspect to a measuring arrangement for measuring a volume occupied by a liquid medium inside a liquid reservoir, the measuring arrangement including a container having an interior volume containing a gas reservoir filled with a gaseous medium and containing a liquid reservoir filled with a liquid medium, wherein the gas reservoir and the liquid reservoir are hermetically separated by an impenetrable separation wall, a volume modulator to induce a volume change of the gas reservoir, a pressure sensor arranged inside the gas reservoir to measure a pressure change of the gaseous medium in response to the volume change of the gas reservoir, and a controller connectable to the pressure sensor, wherein the controller is configured to calculate the volume of the liquid reservoir on the basis of the pressure change and the volume change.

The cellular therapy infusion devices may cooperate with and/or fit into cellular therapy infusion systems designed to create and/or maintain preferred conditions for the cellular therapy media stored in the barrel and automatically administer the cellular therapy media from the cellular therapy infusion device to the patient in a steady, regulated, and/or preferred manner.

摘要: An apparatus includes a housing coupled to a medicament container, which is coupled to a needle. An injection assembly is disposed within the housing and includes an energy storage member and an actuation rod. A distal end portion of the actuation rod is disposed within the medicament container. The energy storage member can produce a force on a proximal end portion of the actuation rod sufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container. This can convey at least a portion of a substance from the medicament container via the needle when a distal tip of the needle is disposed within a first region of a target location. The force is insufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container when the distal tip of the needle is disposed within a second region of the target location.

摘要: An example injector includes a rotary knob for selecting a function and setting a dosing quantity for an injection, a button located on an end of the rotary knob for initiating the injection, an electric motor, an encoder for evaluating output rotary motion of the motor, and a processor that converts the dosing quantity into a number of encoder pulses and controls operation of the motor based on the number of encoder pulses when dosage is triggered. The injector also includes a transmission coupled to the electric motor to convert a speed of the motor, a threaded spindle coupled to the transmission that moves linearly based on the output rotary motion of the motor at the speed as converted by the transmission, and a punch connected to an end of the threaded spindle. The linear movement of the spindle causes the punch to release medicament.
