    Abstract: A saw guide is attached to a circular saw to help make straight, accurate cuts along a line a desired distance from an edge of an object, such as a piece of wood. The guide includes a fence that can fold up by one or more hinges to store the fence out of the way when not in use, allowing the saw to be used like a conventional saw. The fence can be pivoted down, extending at about a 90 degree angle from the saw base, generally parallel to the radius of the saw blade. The distance from the saw blade and the fence can be adjusted and locked into place to make a cut having a desired width.

    Abstract: A remote cutter head and a system therefore which can operate in confined spaces are provided. The remote cutting system including a cutter assembly driven by a fluid source, a pushrod hose coupling the cutter assembly to the fluid source, a control assembly detachably secured to the pushrod hose, and a monitor assembly coupled to at least one camera. The monitor assembly provides video images of the cutter assembly and cutter assembly surroundings. The cutting head including a fluid-driven gearmotor, the gearmotor including a two-piece housing, bearings, a pressure balanced gearmotor cavity, and two rotating members provided in the pressure balanced gearmotor cavity, one of the rotating members protruding from the cutting head. High-pressure fluid provided to the cutting head turns the two rotating members to drive a cutting bit attached to the rotating member protruding from the cutting head. Also provided is a cutting bit.

    Abstract: A tool unit for a cutting device includes a rotary blade, a blade case for covering at least a part of the blade case, and a drive device mounted to the blade case for rotatably driving the rotary blade. A handle is attached to the drive device. The blade case has a front support portion. The handle has a rear support portion. When the tool unit is used for a portable cutting device, the front support portion can be vertically pivotally supported by a front portion of the base, and the rear support portion can be supported by a guide member such that a position of the rear support portion can be changed relative to the guide member for enabling adjustment of a cutting depth of the rotary blade into the workpiece. When the tool unit is used for a table cutting device, the front support portion can be vertically pivotally supported by the table.

    Abstract: A slab shaping system includes a slab shaping device. The slab shaping device includes a cutting device and de-burring device, wherein the cutting device and the de-burring device, respectively cut and de-burr a slab. According to an embodiment, the slab shaping system may include a plurality of spaced apart slab support beams that form at least one slot therebetween. According to an embodiment, the cutting device and de-burring device may be axially-aligned. A method for operating a slab shaping system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of positioning a plurality of slab support beams on a table to form at least one slot; positioning a slab over the slab support beams; positioning a cutting device and de-burring device of a slab shaping device in axial-alignment; and cutting and de-burring the cut in the slab along a length of the at least one slot.

    Abstract: A cutter including a base, a holder, a cutter blade portion, and a laser generator. The holder is supported on the base portion in an upright posture. The cutter blade portion supports a moving blade. The cutter blade portion is supported on the holder movable between an upper position and a lower position. The cutter blade portion is moved into the lower position to cut a workpiece supported on the base using the moving blade. The laser generator is attached to the holder or the cutter blade portion in an orientation to direct at least a portion of the laser light onto a position on the workpiece that is directly beneath the cutter blade portion when the cutter blade portion is in the upper position. Alternatively, a holder has a shaft support portion, and a slide shaft is axially slidably supported by the shaft support portion. A front end of the slide shaft has a hinge holder which pivotally supports the cutting blade portion. A laser generator is fixed to a front side of the hinge holder.
