    Abstract: A battery-powered hand-held machine tool, particularly a hand-held circular saw, includes an electric motor for rotational driving a tool arranged on the hand-held machine tool, particularly a saw blade, a front handle and a rear handle each in terms of an advancing direction of the hand-held machine tool, and a receiving recess for receiving a replaceable battery. The rear handle is mounted such that it can pivot out, preferably upwards, about a pivot axis such that when the rear handle is in a state of being pivoted out, the receiving recess for receiving or removing the replaceable battery is exposed and, when the rear handle is in a state of being pivoted in, the reception or removal of the replaceable battery into or out of the receiving recess is blocked.

    Abstract: A working machine includes: an output shaft to which a tip tool is attachable; a housing rotatably supporting the output shaft; and a protection cover attached to the housing so as to cover an outer periphery of the tip tool which is attached to the output shaft. The protection cover is configured to be displaceable between a processing position to expose a part of the outer periphery of the tip tool to thereby allow cutting of a workpiece, and a protecting position to cover the outer periphery of the tip tool more than in the processing position, and is biased by a biasing member to be displaced from the processing position to the protecting position.

    Abstract: A saw blade stabilizer is provided. The saw blade stabilizer includes a housing and a shaft at least partially within a cavity of the housing. A piston is connected to one end of the shaft. A mechanical wedge is connected to a second end of the shaft in the housing. A stabilizer contact element slideably receives a portion of the mechanical wedge. Movement of the piston slides the portion of the mechanical wedge within the stabilizer contact element and moves the stabilizer contact element in a first direction not in line with the movement of the piston.

    Abstract: A method of resetting a drop arm assembly in a power tool assembly from a first drop arm assembly position whereat a portion of a shaping device mounted on the drop arm assembly does not extend above a workpiece support surface, includes removing a throat plate from a throat plate opening, moving at least a portion of a blade wrench downwardly through the throat plate opening, operably coupling the blade wrench with an arbor shaft of a drop arm assembly, releasing a first latch from engagement with a drop arm frame of the drop arm assembly after removing the throat plate, pulling the coupled blade wrench in an upwardly direction to a second drop arm assembly position whereat the portion of the shaping device extends above a workpiece support surface, and latching the drop arm assembly at the second drop arm assembly position with a second latch.

    Abstract: To provide a cutting machine that suppresses swinging of the cutting portion when the battery pack is attached or detached, the cutting machine includes a cutting portion, a base, and a swing support mechanism. The cutting portion includes: a motor, a motor housing accommodating the motor, an output shaft configured to be rotated upon rotation of the motor, a battery pack serving as a power source of the motor, and a battery pack attaching portion including a pair of rail portions with which the battery pack is engageable, where a cutting blade is configured to be detachably attached to the output shaft. The base has a contact surface on which a workpiece is configured to be placed. The swing support mechanism is connected to the base and the cutting portion and includes a swing shaft extending in parallel to the output shaft. The swing support mechanism supporting the cutting portion such that the cutting portion is swingable about the swing shaft between a top dead center and a bottom dead center in a direction parallel to a side surface of the cutting blade. The pair of rail portions extend in a direction crossing the side surface of the cutting blade.

    Abstract: The present invention concerns a method and an arrangement for processing calcinated carbon bodies such as anodes or cathodes for use in connection with electrolytic production of aluminium. The carbon bodies are processed using a rotating processing tool (101) that consists of a mainly circular disc with cutting edges (114) mounted at its periphery. The cutting edges may be made of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) or an equivalent material. The rotating processing tool mounted on a rotating, driven spindle and is guided by guiding elements (110) that can be jets or perforated discs that blows pressurized air at the tool, or rollers (120). With the present invention it is possible to create narrow and deep slots in calcinated carbon bodies in an efficient manner with low tool wear.
