Abstract:
A miter saw includes a base section having a front side and a rear side defining a first direction, and having a right side and a left side those defining a second direction. A holder is movably supported to the rear side of the base section and pivotable in the second direction. A fixing mechanism fixes a pivot position of the holder relative to the base section. A guide bar section includes two guide bars supported to the holder and extending in the first direction. A saw blade support section is disposed slidable with respect to the guide bars and selectively position-fixable with respect to the guide bars. A saw blade section which is pivotably supported accommodates a motor and rotatably supports a circular saw blade driven by the motor.
Abstract:
A miter saw including a base, a turntable, a support section extending from the turntable, and a circular saw unit supported to the support section. An adjustment mechanism is provided between the base and the turntable for performing fine-adjustment to the rotation angle of the turntable relative to the base. The adjustment mechanism is located at a front side of the turntable, and a digital display is provided near the adjustment mechanism for displaying the rotation angle.
Abstract:
A slide type miter saw capable of easily switching operation mode between groove forming mode and ordinary cutting mode without generation of fluffs and cracks at an upper surface of a workpiece. A circular-saw unit supporting a circular saw blade has a first stopper bolt abuttable on a stopper receiver on a support unit for determining the lowermost position of the circular saw blade. The circular-saw unit also has a second stopper bolt for forming a groove of a desired depth in the workpiece. The second stopper bolt is movable with respect to the first stopper bolt. The stopper receives supports a pivot member or a plate. The pivot member or the plate is abuttable on the second stopper bolt in accordance with a moved position of the second stopper bolt for regulating a depth of a groove.
Abstract:
A miter saw including a base, turntable, and circular saw unit supported to the turntable. A turntable is rotatable about its axis. The turntable has a tilting motion support. A support section has a tilt section tiltingly movable relative to the tilt motion support, and pivotally movably supports the circular saw unit. A clamp shaft is provided for clamping the tilting section to the tilt motion support. A tilt amount fine control unit is provided for performing fine control to the tilting angle, and includes an arcuate gear teeth section provided at the tilt motion support, rotation shaft for moving the arcuate gear teeth, and adjustment knob supported on the clamp shaft for rotating the rotation shaft. A neck table section is provided at a front side of the turntable, and includes a digital display for displaying a lateral tilting angle of the circular saw unit.
Abstract:
A cutter including a base, a holder, a cutter blade portion, and a laser generator. The holder is supported on the base portion in an upright posture. The cutter blade portion supports a moving blade. The cutter blade portion is supported on the holder movable between an upper position and a lower position. The cutter blade portion is moved into the lower position to cut a workpiece supported on the base using the moving blade. The laser generator is attached to the holder or the cutter blade portion in an orientation to direct at least a portion of the laser light onto a position on the workpiece that is directly beneath the cutter blade portion when the cutter blade portion is in the upper position. Alternatively, a holder has a shaft support portion, and a slide shaft is axially slidably supported by the shaft support portion. A front end of the slide shaft has a hinge holder which pivotally supports the cutting blade portion. A laser generator is fixed to a front side of the hinge holder.

Abstract:
A desk-top miter saw with a bevel function is improved through the use of a belt drive transmission between the saw shaft and the motor drive shaft. This allows the unit to be more compact while simultaneously offering a greater bevel tilt range of the saw. A centering detent mechanism is used to correctly locate the turntable for zero-angle (non bevel) cutting.
