    Abstract: The present invention facilitates the thermal conductivity of fabrics by surface coating of the fabrics with high thermal conductivity materials 6. The fabrics may be surface coated when they are individual fibers or strands 4, bundles of strands, formed fabric or combinations therefore. A particular type of fibrous matrix used with the present invention is glass. Some fabrics may be a combination of more than one type of material, or may have different materials in alternating layers. HTC coatings of the present invention include diamond like coatings (DLC) and metal oxides, nitrides, carbides and mixed stoichiometric and non-stoichiometric combinations that can be applied to the host matrix.

    Abstract: Process for insulating by impregnation an electric winding with isocyanurate and oxazolidone cycles resins, in which one wraps around the conductors a glass cloth and porous mica paper tape loaded with a quaternary ammonium salt catalyzing the condensation of the isocyanate and epoxy compounds into isocyanurate and oxazolidone cycles, one impregnates the tape with a varnish containing an isocyanate compound and a liquid epoxy resin, then one subjects the impregnated tape to a varnish polymerization thermal treatment. One uses as a quaternary ammonium salt a benzyl-trialkylammonium halide with an alkyl chain containing at the most 3 carbon atoms.

    Abstract: A protection product has thermal and acoustic barrier characteristics such that it satisfies the requirements of the standard 14 CFR, part 25 issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. The product is designed to be applied along metallic and composite structures, such as aircraft cockpits, boat hulls or the outside structures of trains or of other means of transport. The product is essentially in the form of a “mat” consisting of one or several fibre layers, preferably glass fibres, enclosed in a sheath. The sheath generally comprises at least one first support, preferably made of an organic material having sealing and anti-condensation properties, and an impregnated mica paper. The mica paper preferably has a weight per unit area of less than 50 g/m2 and comprises flakes of mica with a form factor greater than 1000.
