摘要: A method for identical color display based on spectral data impressions for different output applications related to the digital data processing of color information values for different output applications and different color values according to usual standard regarding a controlled, loss-less and color-correct display of specific pre-defined color impressions with location-independent matching and adjusting of the color data. The method contains instructions for identifying and providing in an IT infrastructure specific color data as spectral data records that are converted and transmitted for an output application in real time into a device-specific color profile for a specific output device, taking into account query-dependent values. In a preferred application, material- and substance-specific data is taken into account during conversion. In another preferred application the spectral data records are provided for subsequent queries.

摘要: In an output profile representing a correspondence relationship between device independent coordinate values and second coordinate values in a second device dependent color space, a color conversion table used to convert the device independent coordinate values into the second coordinate values is defined as a first conversion table, and the device independent coordinate values at the adjustment point are defined as to-be-adjusted PCS values. In optimization, an optimization process including an element making provisional color values closer to an adjustment target is executed, the provisional color value being acquired by a conversion, in accordance with the first conversion table, of provisional PCS values resulting from a change in the to-be-adjusted PCS values, thus acquiring an optimal solution for the device independent coordinate values corresponding to the adjustment target.

摘要: Color calibration of color image rendering devices, such as large color displays, which operate by either projection or emission of images, utilize internal color measurement instrument or external color measurement modules locatable on a wall or speaker. A dual use camera is provided for a portable or laptop computer, or a cellular phone, handset, personal digital assistant or other handheld device with a digital camera, in which one of the camera or a display is movable with respect to the other to enable the camera in a first mode to capture images of the display for enabling calibration of the display, and in a second mode for capturing image other than of the display. The displays may represent rendering devices for enabling virtual proofing in a network, or may be part of stand-alone systems and apparatuses for color calibration. Improved calibration is also provided for sensing and correcting for non-uniformities of rendering devices, such as color displays, printer, presses, or other color image rendering device.

摘要: A control apparatus includes a control unit, and a raster-image processor that performs color correction to correct colors of a user printing device into colors of a standard printing device by using a multidimensional LUT and performs color conversion by using a printer profile for the standard printing device and a target profile. The control unit creates the multidimensional LUT including a first LUT and a second LUT, and compares chromas of each fully saturated secondary color of the user printing device, the standard printing device and the target colors. On judging that the chroma of one fully saturated secondary color of the user printing device is greater than that of the standard printing device, the control unit instructs the raster-image processor to perform the color correction while specifying use of the first or second LUT according to a comparison result of the chromas.
